WLS Fraud
I joined the Facebook group after this post. I just left it today. It's funny, someone was pre op and asking about how expensive supplements and vitamins are. I responded and said i used shakes and bars early on when I had trouble getting my protein in, but now at 6 months I can get it in with whole foods and that I use shakes and bars as a treat. This was administration response:
Years ago when Susan Maria was a successful wls patient, author, and store owner, she got power hungry. She disrespected this board and began her career ******g people off for a variety of reasons, among them bad business practices. Ironically you never see photos of her anymore, just avatars, I suppose that is to hide her shame from her regain. Why people have surgery to live on chemicals is beyond me. I won't and I don't and haven't for many years. Clean healthy eating keeps me at goal. I met and married a fellow wls traveler and he has achieved goal weight and maintains based on healthy food choices.
We were married last June.
What a beautiful photo, Heidi. I can see the happiness in your eyes. I wish you both a happy, healthy life together. Congrats!!

Thanks Laura. Its been quite an adventure, moving across the country, getting married, and now embarking on another trip this spring, a wildlife photographic safari in Africa. My husband loves to travel and has been to 55 countries and every state except one, we drove cross country starting in NYC for the thanksgiving day parade and went to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, ended up in Las Vegas before returning to San Diego. Last month we travelled to Mexico City and hired a driver to take us to the area where the monarch butterflies over-winter. Truly awe inspiring.
Here is one of my favorite pics from Custer State Park.
