YAY for saying goodbye to size 18s!! And yes yes yes go shopping! I bet you will look and feel like a new woman with smaller pants/tops on! Must post a pic of any new outfits you get! I remember I hung on to my plus sizes for a long, long, time. I felt I needed to. I think I still have a size 12 or 14 in my closet (I wear a size 2 or 4). And when I started wearing tighter fitting clothes as the weight went down people really started to talk and notice, prepare yourself for that, its great and scary all at the same time!

Yes lady you must get some clothes that fit, even if all you can do is thrift shops. As I was losing all the clerks at Goodwill near me knew my name. I felt so much better and even more motivated when my clothes fit well. I did not keep any clothes in my closet that are not my size because it motivates me to stay 100 percent on track. Nothing in my closet bigger than a size two here. And it's been that way for over 21/2 years. I do wish I had kept one pair of my biggest size just for memory's sake though!
I kept one 5XLT tee shirt, figuring it would make a good smock. I wish I had saved a pair of giant pants too.

I'm not sure if you have JCPenny where you live, but I have had really good luck with their Worthington dress pants. They wash really well, come in a few different cuts/lengths, and a variety of colors. And of course everything is always on sale there, and usually always additional coupons. I've paid anywhere from $11 - $20 for a pair. Just a thought :) have fun shopping!!

I'm worth it!
As I was losing always went with the tightest ones that would fit but were still wearable... so I could get the most mileage out of them...I like to scout sale racks at Macy's and kohls... lots of times they are cheaper than even marked. One of the things I liked is I could buy smaller sizes if I saw them cheap, but if for some reason they didn't work when I got there size-wise...I could always return.

Only things I've bought smaller so far is from thrift stores-- I figure if I'm going to macy's/Kohl's i want the immediate gratification of them fitting NOW :-) But you make a good point-- they have return policies-- just in case.
I've got two thrift stores pant size 18 & 16 and I swear they must have been tagged wrong originally. I've had the 18 since September and they will only now button, but are too tight in the hips to wear. The "16" won't even go over my hips.
