I was guilty of bringing in cookies yesterday so I could get them out of my house. We had a half day on Monday due to the storm, I baked oatmeal scotchies for my daughter, but the recipe makes like 4 dozen, so I couldn't leave them all home for her, way too many. I brought some to my work and sent some with my husband. I did eat two of them though, but if I left them home I probably would have done much worse.
There is a ton of leftover bagels and cream cheese in the break room from a morning meeting. When I went in to get coffee, I stared at them for a few seconds, sighed and turned away. Yay for me, but keep your freakin' bagels in your department! Trolls!

Good Morning!
I just saw a quote on Facebook that relates to how I feel about cleaning - "my house is clean enough to be healthy, but messy enough to be happy". I thought that was pretty fitting in my house, with two little boys it seems like nothing stays clean for long and it seems the weekend are so busy anymore. I don't mind doing the laundry, then I can fold/hang/put away everything and know where it is. So when my son "must" wear this blue Spider-Man shirt (and not the red one!) I usually have a good idea of where it is. A close second would be cleaning the kitchen, I love cooking in a clean kitchen!

Damn AV, you a L-U-C-K-Y!!! A week to yourself!?!?! I can't even imagine!!!
QOTD: I love vacuuming. I love the lines you get in the carpet after a thorough vacuuming. I use carpet fresh too so it make the place smell nice. Only my upstairs is carpeted, downstairs we have areas rugs. I also love deep cleaning the rugs with my carpet cleaner-- same reason- its makes everything look and feel so new. Mind you our carpets need replacing, they are over 10 years old now... so the effects of all this vacuuming is not as grand as they were 5-7 years ago. On the flip side my MOST hated household chore is mopping-- suffice to say if anyone visits me-- I would not recommend using the 5 second rule in any of the non-carpeted areas of my house LOL
The snickers incident of yesterday caused me to hit my calorie max before dinner- so I skipped dinner last night. I still met my protein goal though- so no harm done.

A few years ago I took out all the carpet upstairs and put in new hardwood. There are no rugs at all except for the little nonslip throw in the bathroom. No more vacuuming for me. I have a small blower that uses the batteries from my cordless tools. I open the front door, and blow the dust bunnies down the stairs and out the door.
