What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Hump Day, all you menu posters and lurkers! Is this week dragging or what? When I got up this morning I thought to myself, "there's no way it's only Wednesday". But alas, 'tis true. Maybe I just can't wait for the weekend, because I'm going to be all by myself. squeeeee! Matt is going downstate for like 5 days to help his brother with a bathroom tile project and my son is going with. I almost can't stand it I'm so excited. I don't even give a **** that we'll be apart for Valentines Day. I'm going to watch what I want on TV and take naps and stuff. LOL I'm taking a swim in Lake Me. tra la la!
Question of the Day! I know we all hate household chores, and if you're a weirdo who doesn't keep it to yourself. Let's flip that around: what's your (relative) favorite chore? If I had to pick one, I think I'd go with cleaning the bathroom. Seriously. We have one bathroom and it's small so it doesn't take long, but the satisfaction when it's done is kind of rewarding. Man, that makes me sound like a loon. LMAO
It's Ash Wednesday, so my menu is kind of up in the air. I don't know that I can really do the fast fast because I don't think my body will appreciate that. LOL But, here's what I'm planning:
B: coffee, Friendship Fit to Go cottage cheese with 34 Degree crackers
L: lemon dill Salmon Creations pouch, 34 Degree crackers and a LC wedge
D: shrimp ****tail and a cheddar cheese stick

Seriously, this is the longest week EVER. I keep reminding myself that next Monday is a holiday so I get a 3 day weekend, but even that doesn't seem to be helping.
Yeah, I totally hate most "chores." My mom was very crunchy-granola - we had a home cooked meal every evening that we sat at a no phones/tvs/radios table to eat, she taught me to sew and craft, we made our own yogurt, our clothes were clean and folded - that sort of thing - but when it came to the cleaning side of life - it wasn't her thing and I think I inherited that. We say we're occasional cleaners in our family, as in, we clean for occasions. I literally just don't see those dust bunnies and smudges on the mirrors... but I have to agree, AV, cleaning the bathroom is my favorite because it's tiny and when I clean I always make the deal with myself that I get to take a break after each room is done - so the bathroom is the best (meanwhile my entire apartment can be cleaned in like 30 minutes it's so small, so why would I need a break, but you know how that goes).
Time since surgery: just shy of 2 years
B: coffee with cream, overnight oats
S: L&F with sliced almonds
L: TJ's pot roast and a string cheese
S: PowerCrunch bar - the salted caramel flavor, sooooo good
D: up in the air, I'm going to my sister's and she's making pasta for some reason, she's usually so good about making things that work for me so I'm like WTF sister? I'll have to dig in her fridge for an alternative but I'm sure there will be something

Some evil person has brought in DOUGHNUTS this morning. Wasn't YESTERDAY Fat Tuesday?! I do not know which of staff has done this but I feel like hunting them down and murdering them - all because I want a doughnut sooooo badly and have no self control, but that's besides the point!

My coworker makes the most amazing chocolate goodies; dipped oreos and brownie pops and pecan clusters... And she chose today to bring them in. I hate her. LOL
Seriously! I am FILLED with rage about these doughnuts!
