What's on your (Super Bowl!) Sunday Menu, RNYers?
I like super bowl Sunday because it means it's the end of all the football talk for at least a few months. (Can you tell who is not a sports fan in this horse??)
Hubby plans on making a hoagie and wanted to do crab legs, but hadn't bought them as of yet. There is nothing that I plan on eating special, no sense gorging on unhealthy foods to celebrate a sport I detest...
Time since surgery: 9 months
M1 1/2c egg beaters, 1.5oz oz ham, sprinkle of cheddar cheese; 1/2 protein shake (had that at the gym)
M2: pepper turkey/ham wrapped in a cheese stick/fruit cup
M3: filings from chicken quesadillas
M4: chicken sausage in sausage
Got 3 miles in on the treadmill and 15 minutes dine in the bike this morning, if too a good start.

Hello Peachpie! Love your ability to avoid the hoagie. I was born and raised in Philly but now live in Texas. When I go home to visit I usually make sure I get a hoagie. Just enjoy that part of home so much. It will be a big change when I visit this year and don't get a hoagie! I hope I have your strength. Lol!
Ham. Last day!
It's just another day.

Hubby is having a work related super bowl party. We are out of town and I brought alot of my food and we walked to a grocery store and bought greek yogurt and fairlife so it is business as usual for me. I brought some power crunch bars because they seemed like they would travel well and I had heard alot of good about them. A little higher calories than I would normally do, but it was delicious!
Triple 000 vanilla yogurt
1/2 c fairlife with 1/2 scoop of chocolate quest shake in coffee
Tuna pouch
Cals 285 protein 48 carbs 20 fat
This is where I am at as far as planning. I will be getting some more protein, not sure what
Love the weekend menu post!
I did fairly well last night with my date night. My pouch did its job and kept me in check with the food. I ate some king crab, 1.5 small scallops, one bite of a petite filet and a couple bites of delicious stewed tonatoes.
I had 4 captain Morgan's and diets between 7:30 and 12. I got pretty buzzed, but did not drive. I think I laughed harder last night than I have in years.
My plan for the day is as follows:
B: 2 oz king crab legs meat, no butter.
L: 2oz petite filet, stewed tomatoes
D: chili.
S: turkey pepperoni and mozzarella crisps I make in the oven. 2 cups popcorn during the superbowl.
Totals:
Cal 655 protein 67 carbs 52 fat 21
I'm pulling for the Broncos because I've always been a Manning fan. I love dorky, charismatic men. But I'm with my fellow Michigander, we need repeat winners until the Lions can get their **** together. Now that Megatron seems to be gearing up for retirement, I hope that they can take advantage the excess money it frees up and actually fill in where we need it.
At the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase last night. My husband has the crazy beard.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone. It is a beautiful, sunny day here in Portland. I am going to a party at a friend's house for the game. I am bringing a giant charcuterie spread, so I know there will be plenty of lean meat that I can eat. If I fill up on that, I won't have room for all of the WLS unfriendly snacks.
Time since surgery: 14 months
B: Egg Beaters, ff mozzarella and bacon omelette
S: light and fit Greek - caramel apple pie
L: smoked mussels
Super Bowl: sliced roast beef and ham whistles (ham wrapped around cheese)

Anybody relate to the SuperBowl IBS commercial with the "little intestine guy" walking around? I wondered what a WLS intestine guy would look like? Anyway, I celebrated the game by digging out a single-serve microwave popcorn bag. It had an expiration date 2014 stamped on it--obviously I'm succeeding on resisting popcorn. It did pop to about one whole cup of popcorn. Call me a party animal.

I gagged a little when someone high-fived the intestine.
Its funny that you mentioned popcorn. I stuck to my menu 100% until I met a bowl of Smartfood. Dammit.
