What's on your (Super Bowl!) Sunday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/7/16 5:01 am
Good morning, everyone!
I'm happy to report that logging my weekend menu kept me (mostly) honest. I did grab a handful of goldfish late int e afternoon, but other than that I was true to my post. Best I've done on a weekend in at least a month, sadly.
So what are you all doing for Super Bowl Sunday, and how are you managing your menu? I found this box in the refrigerated section at Target called: "Daniele on the go" which has Almonds, provolone cheese, hard boiled egg and Genoa salami. One box has 370 calories & 24g of protein. I'm brining it with me to our Super Bowl party and I'm not sharing! If I stick to that and avoid the other appetizers and nachos I think I'll be golden.
Hope you all make great choices and that your team wins! (I'm personally rooting for the puppies!).
B: Fit Frappe espresso protein with decaf & 6 almonds
S: Fage 2% Greek Cherry Yogurt
L: Salad with grilled chicken and reduced fat cheese & balsamic dressing

Oh yeah, my wife and daughter will make sure the Puppy Bowl is on promptly at 3. I guess I'm rooting for the Broncos, because I don't want ANOTHER team to win the Super Bowl before my Lions.

L: Mahi with roasted Brussels sprouts
D: Bacon Cheeseburger "sliders" - mini patties with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, and held together with a toothpick (no bun, of course)

I know I must be un-American but the Super Bowl will most likely not be on here! Really don't like football at all and neither does hubby. Post op 41 months and weight at 122.6 today. Exercise will be 3.2 miles at the park with my pup Lily and at least 30 minutes on the bike. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey with cheese and 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz salmon grilled and 1/2 c Brussels sprouts S Greek yogurt. Have a great Sunday everyone, and be mindful what goes in your mouth while you watch the game!

I have an elliptical at home but I have to mix it up--my body gets complacent with the same routine.
