What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
on 2/6/16 5:33 am
Hello Friends!
I decided to start this post up for weekends, because the last few I've realized that as time ticks away from my surgery date it's harder to stay in track during "unstructured" times. I'm great during the work week, because all I have is what I bring with me. But weekends are full of choices. I'm hoping that posting a planned menu can keep me accountable. Will you join me?
6.5 months post op.

Maybe that's my problem--too many choices. If I limit to just ham in the house, it will certainly be harder to "cheat"!

You know that thing people do, where they go and open the refrigerator or cabinets every couple of hours, idly looking? I never have to do that.

Eggs, yechhh. Unless you put them in a cake.
When I have cheese, I have cheese. When I have ham, I have ham. I'm a simple creature.

It's a texture thing. No matter how they're cooked, the texture weirds me out.

I'll jump in too! No ham for me today so I guess I'll just have to make good choices. My menu yesterday was totally not what I planned. Hubby and I went out for lunch at a new restaurant in Alton,Shogun. First and only Japanese restaurant in the area. This is central Illinois here ,the land of flat cornfields. I had not quite half my serving of chicken teriyaki with no rice. Then for dinner we went to a local church chili and soup supper. I had a cup of mild chili with beans. They had sugar free pie that I really wanted but I stayed away. Sweets were such a problem for me before I just do not want to get on that path! Lily and I will do our 3.2 miles at the park today and I will do 30 minutes on the bike at some point as well. Here's the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz chicken teriyaki 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz cheesy brat with 1/2 c Brussels sprouts S Greek yogurt. Hope you have a great day everyone!
