Bad pain

Hi guys, 

I'm having some issues this afternoon and my drs office is closed already. I decided OH is my first stop before I page the on call Dr. Anyway so here it is... I am having pretty bad pain to the left of my belly button. I feel gassy (tmi) so I'm hoping that's all it is but it hurts pretty bad. I'm a little freaked out. Prior to surgery something like this would have been chalked up to a gas bubble but with all the intestinal changes I feel like I need to be extra cautious. So two questions... Can I and should I take gas x and secondly, when should I call my Dr?

Take Gas-x and call the doctor if the pain is still there.  It does sound like gas.

As soon as I saw the title of your post 'Bad Pain', I thought get thyself to a medical professional. Walk in clinic, general practitioner, whatever. Some people here are against getting every little thing checked out, but severe pain seems important to get examined.

I really appreciate your concern. I took the gas x and it seemed to help. I go back to my Dr in 2 weeks so if it is still giving me a problem I will mention it to him. If it starts back up bad like it was yesterday then I will get seen sooner. Thanks again!
