Good. You can stay.
Chocolate fat free sugar free pudding was good for me in the soft food stage. It was a nice base to mix chocolate protein powder. If you try it, don't mix a large batch. It's great the first day, but the second day it starts to separate somehow. Yuck.
Vanilla anything isn't bad, but it's not especially good, either. If you say you like tapioca, I'll will henceforth call you Nana.

I had the same problems. After trying all the wonderful suggestions you can find on this forum, I found that liquids in general still made me nauseous and hurt. For me, it turned out to be a stricture between my esophagus and pouch that was fixed via EGD (using dilation). Definitely try all the suggestions that people have made, but don't let it go too long before calling your doctor. And if you're feeling symptoms of hydration, get to an urgent care center for an IV.

Drink as much as herbal as you want. All fluids count at this point. Early on I found it very difficult to start with fluids once I'd eaten. So I would keep a 16oz bottle of water by my bed and start sipping as soon as I woke and was showering and getting ready. Then I would have my protein drink, and made it 16oz with water/milk added. Then I would drink several cups tea or coffee... so I would have at least 5-6 cups in before I ever put solid food in my mouth. I still find keeping a liquid morning works for me most days.
Edit: The dietitian said each SF popsicle = 2oz fluid. So use them if you can. I had never had them before but they were lifesavers back then.

I think they put crack in SF Popsicle. I can go a long time without any, but as soon as I have one, I want to eat them all. Everywhere. Even those at your house.

I have the same problem with water since surgery. Glad to hear the reason, Grim. My surgeon said he didn't know why but I wasn't the first patient to say it! Ha!
i live on water with skinny girl stevia drops. Tastes good and doesn't have an artificial sweetener. I used to struggle with liquids. Now I easily down at least 100 ounces a day. Hang in there! It gets better.

I cannot thank you all enough for your awesome responses and suggestions! I will drink whatever works and keep at it! I bought some Vitamin Water Zero and that seems to go down well, and will also try some diet cranberry juice. I've not checked out the Mio drops before, but I will! It's quite a frustration as I used to drink about 90-100 of the-colder-the-better water every day. Just one more thing to figure out and adjust to .

I totally had (and still do a little) the same problem! So frustrating! I think Grim is right - its about surface tension. If I would add lemon or lime or infuse with a few berries or mint, it made a world of difference. The heating pad on my stomach helped, too. I hear it gets better - I was a HUGE water drinker and I miss the guzzle and no pain! Hang in there :)
