Morning Mama! Hoping AV is doing well and just got sidetracked by something good. Thank you for starting the post this morning, I rely on it. Congrats on your 3lb loss, that is awesome!
My night was complete **** again. I was so wiped out from lack of sleep for two nights and passed out just before my husband got home. At around 2am the baby woke up and started yelling from his crib for us, my husband got up and went to him, but Kal wouldn't go back to sleep and started crying when we left him in his bed. Mind you, he's 2 years old, but he's still in a crib because he hasn't tried to climb out yet. So I lay in bed listening to him cry for half an hour, and my husband kept telling me not to bring him into bed. I finally told him that I was bringing him in, and if he had a problem he could sleep on the couch.
So 2 year old in the bed at 2:30 in the morning, and this kid will not go to sleep! I was laying there crying with exhaustion and my husband finally took him downstairs. I did fall asleep and slept until 6, but my poor husband was still awake with this kid when I got out of the shower and he has to work today. I don't know what to do with the kid. he keeps waking in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep. Should I just set up his bedroom so he can play quietly at night, how can you MAKE a 2 year old sleep? Uuugghh, I feel bad that my husband got up with him, but I was honestly just so wiped out there is no way I could have done it. Any advice on what to do? even being able to get back to sleep I was tempted to call off of work today because I feel drained.
My husband and I are going to dinner with friends tomorrow night and then to a comedy club. Dinner is at a nice seafood restaraunt, and I look forward to some yummy food and maybe a drink of two. Most comedy clubs have a 2 drink minimum, so I'll be paying for a drink but giving it to someone else, lol.
I had a bad, bad, bad indicent with some Cheese-Its last night. Yeah, that box is leaving quickly. I need to learn self control. I logged it and I feel defeated today. I've been really stepping up my game with the carbs and this week have been pretty good about staying on plan, and I just failed so hard last night. Why do I do it to myself? It's not like I didn't know what I was doing, or that I didn't realize. I purposefully ate 2 full servings of cheese-its. I came in at 1060 calories but 91 carbs! 91! WTF!?!?!
Resetting today though. So lets start over:
6 months since surgery
B: Pizza quiche and large coffee with cream and splenda
L: turkey taco meat with 1/2oz mozzarella, plain greek yogurt and salsa with 1/2 a low carb tortilla
D: Shrimp and steamed carrots
S: Light and Fit Greek and 1/2 a white chocolate raspberry Quest bar
Totals:
Calories 769 Protein 83 Carbs 46 Fat 35
I'm going to try to skip the yogurt this afternoon to cut back on my calories, but I logged it to keep myself honest.
Here's a picture of my little guy, I think he may actually be an android, since apparently he has no need for sleep. We just got all of his fluffy hair cut off last weekend.
My gosh so cute! Last year when my grandson was around 2 my son and DIL decided to do 'sleep training' for the same reasons... It really worked, took about three nights and then Boom! He was sleeping. And he started taking naps too...this was a kid who only took catnaps.... Good Luck!

We did sleep training at 9 months, and it really worked for us at the time. Usually he sleeps well, but for some reason this week has been really bad.
There had to be sine reason that is happening, like growth sprurt or something,
I loaned my sleep training book to my sis in law, but I may grab it again if things keep on like it has been.
