Proferrin Users (XP)

I am curious to hear from those of you who use Proferrin as your choice of iron.  I'm particularly interested in knowing why you are on this iron, any side-effects you have experienced, and if your levels are within range.

As background information, I have a hard time tolerating and absorbing iron.  Proferrin has been recommended to me from others on this site in the past, but the cost is very prohibitive.  Unfortunately, the only iron I have been able to take more than a few weeks (Sundown Perfect), has turned on me and I can no longer tolerate it.  I have tried at least 9 different types and brands of iron, including another heme iron, so I am worried Proferrin will be another failure, but with a bigger price tag.

I took feramax for a year trying to bring my levels up to no avail.  Proferrin improved my stats quickly. 

It IS expensive, but feeling so much better is the payoff.  For me, the specific low iron exhaustion is gone and I feel like myself again.
