What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
HA! He actually called me on the way to work and said, "So, you like half and half in your coffee, huh?" LMAO He really is a saint for putting up with my ****
Good morning here so far, it's Wednesday, so we're almost to the weekend! I don't hate my job, but I don't particularly love my current one. It's booorrring. Sometimes boring is okay, but I like to be challenged to stay interested.
B-tortilla boat with scrambled eggs and pico de gallo (those tortilla boats are handy little buggers)
L-shrimp ****tail, cottage cheese
D-hot dog with bun (going to be at a wrestling meet, and this will be the best the concession stand has to offer)
S- irish tea with creamer
S- almonds
Cals: 1038
Consult Weight:276/Surgery Day Weight: 241.6 /Goal Weight: 150
I am busily getting ready for my trup this weekend. I just went and bought syntrax coffee because I read it mixes well with water, so I will trybthat later and I also go some of these power crunch bars that look stupid delicious.
In other news..... I have my ctscan today to find out if I am having liver problems or gall bladder issues. I am banking on gall bladder. Not super happy about either I am hoping for liver because the fix is super string antibiotics.... But it is in the same. Place but a different feel so I think it is gall bladder. Hopefully the tech doesn't gasp this time when she sees what is there....
That being said, my day is going to be whackadoodle because I have to fast after 12.
Taco soup(breakfast cuz I was trying to bulk up my cals)
Syntrax in water
Chicken patty w/goat cheese medallion
490 cal prot 53 carb 9 fat 24
I will probably just throw a bag of quest chips in to round it out
I really appreciate this menu feed. It is the one I try to make sure to read every day now.
I love hearing the stories and "life" that happens here.
I love seeing different ideas. Yesterday I found the black bean spaghetti noodles so now going to try the curry recipe with them. I couldn't find Quest bars at New Seasons so may have to order some.
I want to find the Chili Lime turkey patties next. I don't do beef very well at all so I stay away from it.
I don't care for the taste of Greek Yogurt no matter which one I try. I keep trying to like it but just cant.
It tastes to much like sour cream which makes me sick to eat it.
B-coffee with premier protein drink (I have a hard time eating solid early)
L- Chicken and Brusselsprout/kale salad
D- not sure as I have a meeting to go to right after work so have not planned but will figure something out before I leave. (hospital cafeteria)
Snack: I found some wonderful Chedz premium cheese snacks yesterday, they taste wonderful, crunchy and cheesy. I also have some chicken jerky.
Im guessing the "onderland" I keep seeing is referring to when someone gets below 200??
I'm not a huge yogurt fan either. The only flavor I've come to like is vanilla, and only by dannaon's- Oikos likne. And in order to eat it I have to have something in it-- usually granaola of some fashion. I used to like the apple pie flavor but it just up and disagreed with me one day-- oh well.
Make sure your stir the yogurt up really good before eating it -- if I eat it unstirred I definitely think of it more like sour cream then with flavor.
Yup onederland is below 200

Good morning! AV, sounds like a rough morning. Hope your day gets better. My dog was very uncooperative this morning and wouldn't go outside for his walk. When I finally got him outside, he parked himself on the front lawn and wouldn't move. It was 39 degrees this morning which is cold so I finally said, fine, if you don't want to walk, you don't have to walk and we went back inside. He jumped on the couch on top of a blanket and fell asleep. Keep in mind, he's a siberian husky who should LIVE for walks outside in 39 degree weather. He is the laziest husky on the planet. Then, I stopped at Starbucks on the way to work (yes, my coffee ban lasted an entire day) and left it in my car when i walked into my office. It has not been a good morning. My menu is somewhat up in the air. We had a new attorney start and we decided to have a "girls lunch" to welcome her. I have no clue where we're going, but hope they have fish or a protein forward salad I can eat. There's a cheesecake Factory across the street from our office and I can always find something off their skinnylicious menu. So, that's my vote. Here's the plan so far:
B: Turkey, spinach and cheese
L: ?
D: Leftover NY Strip and salad
S: Dannon light and fit salted caramel and my skinny vanilla latte if I make it back to my car.
No totals since lunch is up in the air
