Weight loss progression
I know this will vary for each person, but is it typical to lose weight every week throughout the weight loss phase or is it likely that I'll have some weeks that are unchanged or even up? Just trying to prepare if I can. I'm 2 weeks out and at my post op on Monday I was down 22 pounds (yay!). I got a new scale and its showing up a pound today at home. As I'm typing this I realize that it's also possibly a difference in scales, time of day, the fact that I just ate, etc....
Thanks for your info!

Most of us lost in a stair-step fashion. I had weeks and even months when I stayed the same. I followed my plan and kept losing for about 18 months. Stick to the same scale, same time of day after this. I weigh in the morning before eating and after using the bathroom.

Stair stepping is most common.
You've lost as much in two weeks as I did my first month, and I lost a ton!

There were definitely weeks where no weight loss happened. If you weigh yourself everyday there will be daily fluctuations. As others say weigh yourself the same time/place every time and then be done with it. I also do in the morning before eating and after the bathroom.
I weigh daily, but record my weight once a week on Wednesdays (I had my surgery on a Wednesday) and record monthly on the 23rd...my surgery day. It really helps to see the trends and to set goals for myself. Early on I was always setting mini-goals.
