Surgery date and question

Hello all:

I got my surgery date yesterday, 03/10/16 at 11:30 am. I am super stoked. I do have a question though. I bought a pill crusher today and my question is what do you take your crushed pills with? Water? Applesauce? I know it's going to taste bad and am a little afraid.

A,it of people take them with applesauce. I never crushed a pill and took them whole from the beginning. I still use chewable vitamins.

I was instructed not to crush my pills, and just take them with a bit of water. I didn't have any that were too big though.

My surgeon said to take them with a little unsweetened applesauce. It covered up the taste pretty well.

Advice from my dietitian was to take them with something I never wanted to eat again. I took actigal for my gall bladder and that stuff was NASTY. I used applesauce and yogurt at first, but at 4 weeks started swallowing pills whole.
