Food Ideas Please!
My go to snacks at work are Light and Fit and PB2, cottage cheese or deli meat and cheese roll ups (I'm on a turkey kick lately). If im good and plan ahead I'll make a curried chicken salad and take 2 oz for a snack. When I want some crunch I'll eat moon cheese, which is high in protein/low in carb. I recently found the pepper jack flavor and it's pretty good.
As for meals, I'm all in favor of quick and easy. I made a beef tri tip on sunday and it's provided a few good meals. Yesterday combined with a few snap peas and today with some broccoli slaw. I made zucchini boats the other night with ground turkey. Again, easy and lasted 3-4 meals. I usually eat my leftovers for lunch, so these are all office friendly. I'll be watching this thread since I feel I'm in a rut lately with menu planning.

Hi Nikki, sometimes we just get into a rut, I totally get it. Here are some of my daily eats and my go to snacks:
- Krave Jerky
- celery sticks with laughing cow cheese
- apple slices with peanut butter
- canned solid white tuna with balsamic salad dressing over it
- Baby bel cheese
- home made baked chicken fingers (I cut up chicken breast, use Shake & Bake and bake on a rack) I dip them in ketchup or plum sauce
- SHRIMP, I can't tell you how much shrimp I eat. I buy frozen cooked tail on shrimp weekly and eat 8 with tangy ****tail sauce for breakfast every. single. day I am a total weirdo
- Protein Hot Chocolate (gets in the protein and "water" in one) I buy mine from Nashua Nutrition
- Steak!!! I eat a lot of steak. We buy 12 Angus steaks every Sunday (yes really), I eat one for dinner every day, no joke
- Italian meat balls with spicy red pepper spaghetti sauce and tons of parmesean
- East Indian Dal (Lentils)
- East Indian Channa (Chickpeas)
- East Indian Tandoori chicken (there is a wicked awesome Indian restaurant that just opened up around the corner from us, amazing home cooked food and I love supporting local businesses that are just starting out)
- Bell pepper strips and hummus
- Deli meat (my choice is salami) and stick of marble cheese, rolled up with spicy mustard
- Egg bites (I use World According to Eggface egg bite recipes all the time)
- Greek yogurt
- Eggs, I love eggs, my fave way is hard boiled and eaten as is or made into egg salad or deviled eggs
- Ham cracker dip (its my mom's recipe from wayyyyy back). Its got canned ham, sour cream, mayo, green onions & parsley, I don't eat it with crackers I eat it with chopped veggies but my Mom uses Ritz crackers, let me know if you want the recipe
- Greek chicken skewers (I make my own and will chop up tomato and red onion and give hubby a pita and I eat mine open face)
- Meatloaf or Salisbury steak with tons of mushroom gravy
- Turkey! I have a Stuffed Butterball Turkey in my freezer I bought on sale after xmas. I can eat turkey for days and days.
- Chilli, I make crock pot spicy chili all the time, its so great this time of year
- Sloppy Joes! I eat open face, sometimes just a bottom bun or no bun
- Shepherd's pie with no potato topping (I am allergic to potatoes)
- Swiss Steak (again Mom's old way back recipe)
Well I hope that helps!
Good Luck, keep me posted okay!

Hi Gina,
Here is the ham cracker dip recipe:
1 can of flaked ham, drained
3/4 cup of sour cream
3/4 cup of mayo
1 tbsp of dried parsley flakes or fresh if you prefer
3 chopped green onions
Mix all ingredients together. My Mom's "tip" make a day ahead before taking to a party for the flavours to meld. Serve with Ritz crackers (I use celery sticks, bell pepper strips, carrots etc instead of crackers)
ENJOY!

How can I add to the wonderful lists above? But I will: I love Fage brand plain yogurt. It is very filling, high protein, and not as sour as many yogurts. I usually buy the 2% or full fat version. I eat it with a T of low sugar jam, sometimes with berries or apple pieces.
A couple of snack ideas that are portable/quick and easy and my favorite.
Nuts
Low Fat String Cheese - Crisped up in the microwave and place into a baggie. These give you that crunch you might be craving, but is all protein.
Roasted chickpeas.
Hummus and bell peppers
Turkey Pepperoni - again, you can crisp these in the microwave as well
Boiled eggs.
Nik
Love, love, LOVE the turkey pepperoni nuked for a few seconds in the microwave. I use low-sugar marinara as a dipper!
Another good thing to do is to wrap that around a little chunk of string cheese. LOOOOOOOOOVE that.
