Bacon isn't a carb.  I'm going on an all bacon diet.

Sadly the fat from regular bacon makes me miserable now! Sometimes I will have a single piece of turkey bacon though.

I'm so sorry.  I had to give up bread and pasta, but I'd be more sad if I had to give up bacon too. I'd do it,  but I'd be really sad.

It was far harder to give up sweets than bacon. The sweets were what got me obese in the first place and they are the first thing I can smell when I go in the grocery store today. Luckily I dump so they are out of the picture now.

Bacon is one of those foods that does NOT taste the same since surgery, it just doesn't taste as amazing as it did before.  I makes bacon pretty "meh" for me now.  Probably a good thing....but man

I too would hate to think how many calories I ate in a day before surgery. I know it was scary though! Society as a whole has a warped perception of serving sizes. All you have to do is go out to eat and look at the portions on a plate. No wonder we have dialysis clinics in every other strip mall now! You are so close to goal AV! Congratulations! It's not like anything really changes but it is a great feeling to reach what seemed impossible at the start of the journey. Post op 41 months and weight at 121.2 today. Exercise will be 4 miles walking and 30 minutes on the bike. Lily and I were able to do 3 in the morning and one in the evening yesterday and will try the same today. If we get rain it will be the treadmill then! Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1/2 c sloppy Joe meat and 1/2 c green beans D 31/2 oz ribeye and 1/2 c sweet potatoes S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!

Yeah, I'm considering lowering my goal weight to 135, just to see how far I can go.  But NYMom said I should leave it at 145, because then if I do lose more, I can say I'm "below goal".  LMAO

My goal was originally 165 then 145. I ended up as low as 117 but now hover between 120 and 123.
