Somehow I have lost my mojo.....I was doing so well.  I had even started cross fit this time last year and was doing it up until November when I got hurt.  I haven't done any exercise since then.  Now I weigh myself because my bras are no longer fitting,  Yep....you guessed it...Ive gained 15 lbs!!! I'm so stressed out right now.  Not really sure what to do.....I was thinking of starting at day one again....before surgery with 3 meal replacements a day....Has anyone else gone thru this?? Please tell me what you did to get back .  Trying to start at least my walking again today. Lets see how that goes with all the snow.  I'm so bummed out right now. :-(

start tracking protein 70+ a day needed

no startches/carbs

lots of veggies, walk, lots of water

You can do it. I need to lose 10 lbs and 8 yrs out, I downloaded the MyFitnessPal app on m iPhone and log everything I eat. Im down 5 lbs in a week. Good luck!

Tracking protein and water is good.  Exercise is good.  The only thing that will get the weight off is reducing calories.

I'm sorry you got hurt. Listen to the vets and be strong. You've done it before so you can do it again. I find if I come here to OH, it helps with my strength. It's really hard but we can do it. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the support.....I have reset myself today...lets see what i look like at the end of the week.  I am just trying to calm myself down....I've not weighed this much in such a long time that I totally lost it.  I DONT want to repeat that part of my life ever again!! Thanks again everyone!

Yea, you, for stopping at 15 pounds. In the old days a regain would be 80-100 pounds for me.

Injuries make it more important to track what you are eating, because what was working for you when you were able to exercise, will not work when you are sedentary.

I do think this happens to the best of us.. As someone mentioned, tracking your food intake is a great idea. I use an app called bariaritric IQ which is intended for people before and after gastric surgery and it also has some basic information to remind you of the main principles, you can check nutrition info there as well. similar to My fitness pal but more WLS oriented.

Someone mentioned walking - it is a great way to fit in some excersice - i myself walk to work which is like 20 minutes walk away, which I do think is excellent.

Water and fluid intake in general is very important too, so stay hydrated, move and track your foods! they may be adding up; in my case it was those pesky crackers, which i'm so fond of, though  Ishould stay away from them.

Just make sure you dress properly for the colder weather!

Best of luck to you!! Let us know how youre doing !

Had surgery at Nordbariatric, with surgeon A. Maleckas.
