What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
As far as the QOTD, I have always had a moody stomach, even before surgery so there is a lot of things I am even scared to try. My kids have grown up hearing me vomit ALOT. Used to love eggs when I was a kid, now I can eat the beaters but not the real thing. Cant tolerate most forms of pork, and the list goes on and on....URG.
That being said, another busy week for the cheap family. I didnt work 60 hours last week but did end up hitting 42 which is 18 extra. We are a homeschooling family with one special needs/high maintenance child so it is rough. DH isnt much help, because I raised him that way.
I am raising my calories to closer to 700 to see if that hinders me any. I am having a bit of a hard time keeping it at the 600-650 and always seem to just barely make it and dont want to always feel defeated. I am 54 pounds to goal but I am trying this.

QUESTION FOR YOU: Carbs NET OR NOT? I was reading a thread on one of the otherboards and this peaked my interest...
AV- your question- so far only one item has not set well with me: I made a irish pork brisket. i think it was the seasoning, but after I made in the crock pot, I didn't want to eat it. I tried a bite of two and didn't go any further. For some reason I can do eggs, ground turkey, turkey chili, nothing has made me ill. Maybe the doctor didn't really do my surgery, and that is why my weight loss has been slow... just kidding.
This weekend was pretty calm and relaxing. Saturday I didn't get my steps in though :( the weather has been a crapfest lately. I did do day 2 of c25k yesterday though. I actually made it through it and I'm not hurting today. It still amazes me that I can jog/prancercize around for that long without falling on the ground or stopping after 20 seconds. the scale actually moved 1 pound also so I'm down 15.2 pounds from surgery, 68 total. I'm almost at the 1/2 way mark.
Here is my question of the day. My husband really feels jogging/running is bad for you. Mostly joint/back concerns. what are yall's thoughts? I told him I could never do it before so back off- lol - In a nice way.
Sunday I made jewelry for the new shop we are going into this weekend!! So excited.
Food:
B; same old wheybolic shake
S: coffee with miralax
L: chicken I think
D: Not sure yet- I might run out in which case I might bring back something to puree.
S: yogurt
Just make sure if the running causes any knee or other pain you stop. I tried running when heavier and unbeknownst to me I had rheumatoid arthritis. I had pain but kept going determined to lose weight. I ruined both knees and had to have replacements at a young age. So if you have pain, please stop! I got below goal and have maintained for 2 years with only walking,so it can be done!
