What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I throw up LESS since surgery, but still multiple times a week. I think before it was due to my undiagnosed ulcers because there was blood involved. But I still toss my stomach a few times a week. I can't handle the oversalivation that happens.
I so needed this thread today. I work overnights Sat/Sun 12 hour shifts and am finding that it is wreaking muck on my innards. I am suppose to start some evening hours this week in addition to the nights. I can not make myself eat much during the time I am at work on the night shift. I tried some yogurt and tuna salad and immediately got dry heaves and up it came. Then I had the frothies!!The only thing that seems to stay down is a protein bar. My stomach does not want food it wants sleep. Not sure these overnight hours are going to work for me.
I lost weight according to the scale but not for the right reasons. I did not eat anything bad just not enough.
I have no food menu to post today as I think that I am going to try to sleep.
Right now being about 13 weeks out I still do not tolerate scrambled eggs. Never tolerated them from the start. I do not tolerate beef either in any form. I tried stewy beef(who coined that term on here LOL) was a no go.
I work nights and my guess is it is exhaustion getting the best of you. How you handle it really depends on hoe you live /sleep the other days.
Are you maintaining your night schedule all the other days? If you are you should maintain what isa Normal eating schedule daily. That is a bit harder to do.
I dont do that. I stay up later my off days but not as late when I work. So even when I work I am done eating at 930(lunchtime). I do have a diet hot cocoa when I come home, but otherwise water the rest of my shift.

I work night shift 8p-8a in a busy ER. It Is hard for me to eat at work because I am so used to eating as quick as I can, trying to shove something down before the next patient busts through the door. It is a big adjustment.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Sorry to hear your under the weather-hope you feel better soon.
At the moment I can't think of anything that I tolerate, there are things I get sick of for a bit but that's usually my own fault because I will eat the same things over and over again and get stuck in a rut. Hope your love for eggs returns soon. Your tuna creation almost sounds like it could be a melt and that sounds GOOD!

Hi, good to be writing in my food again. I'm going to add a piece about my mental status too just to put it in there.
I am stoked to be out of the house. I am going to walk three miles at the mall and hopefully get to the gym and work on some machines. My doctor wants me to limit my walks to 3 miles due to a foot tumor and my attitude is good around that. It is what it is. I want to eat clean today, but in fairness, I always want to eat clean. So today I am making a plan and taking the steps, no pun intended. I will write on my book sequel and research a web page.

Hi AV and all,
Happy Snowzilla Monday from DC. OMG we got dumped on. I had a great weekend - I got snowed in with friends and we chilled on Friday night, did a bar crawl in the snow on Saturday, and then chilled again yesterday. I walked home last night, in the middle of the street, since there is hardly any traffic on the streets. The government is closed again. I can't believe how much snow is piled up. The side streets haven't been touched. Thank god I don't commute. I put a few pictures below.
Two things do NOT sit well with me since surgery. Well, many things don't sit well occasionally (like leftover ground turkey) but the really bad things are falafel (I literally projective vomited when I ate it and don't plan to try it again) and quinoa, which is a high protein grain/pasta but just does not sit well in my picky pouch.
Time Since Surgery: 23+ months
B: Two eggs, a slice of cheese, two coffees with half and half (in the opposite order)
L: An Aidell's habanero and cheese chicken sausage, a tiny bit of leftover mac and cheese. I should throw this away. I should throw this away. I should throw this away.
D: Teriyaki chicken skewers from Trader Joes
E: I am waitlisted for an interval training class tonight. It will involve me walking there in the street for 8 blocks since no one is clearing their damn sidewalks. But I have got to get back on a schedule. Luckily I walked 6 miles on Saturday in deep snow, so that was somewhat exerting!
My totals are only 1,000 calories, 67 protein, 50 carbs. That is WAY low for me, so I will be adding more food in.
This pic below is a total NSV. When I weighed over 300 lbs, I would have never lay on the ground to do a snow angel (how hard would it have been to get back up?!). Now, falling in the snow is easy and painless LOL.
