Never Again

I learned a very hard lesson today. I was on a hard run and found myself hungry. The only place available to grab a bite was McDonalds. I ordered a breakfast burrito and a fork to eat just the inside of the burrito. Not thinking, I ate the sausage, egg and cheese...without chewing 25-30 times per bite. I literally got two bites down and the pain started. It was intense pain! The food was stuck in the top of my pouch.

Probably the only way to get relief would have been to upchuck, but I didn't think McDonalds would have appreciated my doing that in their parking lot. It took me an hour to get relief. Seven hours later I still have some minimal pain but it's nothing like I had that first hour.

NEVER...NEVER...NEVER will I ever eat another bite of anything without the 25-30 chews!

I just learned that same lesson earlier today. I was on the phone and without thinking I put a bite of a bread stick in my mouth, didn't chew like I was supposed to and it was stuck, in a few minutes it came right back. Sure does hurt.

Yes, I feel so much better today.  It's amazing what 6 hours of sleep can do after having 12 hours of pain and discomfort (an hour of that in severe pain).  Take heed...take small bites and chew each bite 25-30 times without fail.
