What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning everyone! It is not raining in Portland at this moment, which is a novelty this winter. More rain is predicted, so this is just a temporary respite. I so feel for all of you facing down the snow storm in the East. It does not look like a fun time, even for those of you who are used to winter storms. One of my staff is in the D.C. area trying desperately to get a plane out and back to the West Coast before the storm hits. Fingers crossed for her.
I'm with your Mom. I love Thursdays, because Friday is the next day. I am working from home tomorrow because I have a furnace guy coming in, and the repairs are going to take all day. The parts are under warranty, but I have to pay for the labor. Ish. Not an expense I was counting on.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. On Saturday we are celebrating a friend's birthday. We have a block of rooms reserved at a hotel downtown, so we are going to staycation it. Dinner and brunch reservations, shopping for the girls (beer for the boys), and just general merriment. Always a good time.

Seriously! Your weekend sounds like so much fun - I love a good staycation. Even back when I lived IN the city, there were neighborhoods that I didn't frequent too often, so when I was in them it felt all new and shiny.

Good morning everyone. I had court this morning, so this was my first opportunity to post. Hope everyone is handling the weather well. I'm almost afraid to tell you all it's supposed to be 74 here today. I feel guilty!! My scale is still not cooperating, and frankly I don't know what else to cut out, so I think I'm going to stay off it for a while and skip tomorrow's "official" weigh in. Oh, and I just had my breakfast and my pre-washed spinach clearly wasn't. That was one gritty meal! Serves me right for trying to save time.
Here's my plan:
B: ground turkey, spinach, cheese, and dirt (I wonder if I should count the dirt as a protein, fat or carb??)
L: Leftover zucchini boat from last night (I have a therapy appt. at lunch, so need to decide if I'm having an early or late lunch)
D: New York strip steak; pear and gorganzola salad
S: Light and fit (I'm running after work so I have my Peanut Butter with me, but I'm going to do my best to ignore it as I think its contributing to my weight gain)
Totals: Cal: 738; Protein: 83g; Fat: 30g; Carbs: 21g (I am sure this menu will result in further movement on the scale, although not in the right direction. It may be time for me to make a Dr. appt.)
Thanks to everyone's advice I took a
good look at my yogurt addiction. I was eating too much and I was at a stall for weeks. Three days being mindful and I am down 2 lbs! Finally!
