What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Yesterday I spent a couple of hours wandering in Wegmans grocery shopping and checking items out. I have never spent that much time in a grocery store. I bought enough stuff for 2-3 weeks keeping in mind that I might need to just grab a couple of things etc in between.
I walked through the bakery section and saw cannoli cream filling. I held it for a few minutes and put it back LOL. I saw quest chips but left them on the shelf. They had somersaults but no thin addictives.
I am making a couple things today balsamic chicken, maybe bbq pulled pork w. a very lean pork loin and stewy beef. Oh and a couple batches of mini egg bites.
Yesterday I ate...
Breakfast Cheese stick w. proscuitto ham
Lunch Beef from Beef Stroganoff (purchased at Wegmans no noodles)
Dinner Turkey Cheese and pickle roll ups
Snack Lite and Fit greek yogurt
Not the best choices.....
I can only find the Thin Addictives I like at the Wegmans on Onondaga Blvd. And it's funny, because I do the same thing when I shop; just sort of hold onto something appealing for a while, maybe throw it in my cart for a couple of aisles. And then put it back.
AV you and I live so close!! I was working nursing cases near OCC and went by Onondaga Blvd the whole time.
I live about 10 minutes away from there.
I did buy somersaults and felt pretty guilty bringing them into the house.
I did find black bean pasta..... I may give it to DH.
I did get some turkey meatballs from wegmans yesterday. The store on Rte 57 in Liverpool does not even carry Laughing Cow!!
AV what section of the store would addictives be? The cookie aisle? I looked there. I looked in the cracker aisle and also Natures Marketplace.
IF anyone wants recipes for what I am making PLMK.
I also have an appt with my Surgeon tmw due to ongoing Nausea. I have been hospitalized 4 times since surgery in October. I told his nurse that I am not that sick right now. UUUGGGGHHH
They're sort of by the "fancy cookies" in the regular cookie aisle, if you know what I mean. Like by the LU biscuits and stuff. And they seem to be on the lower shelves, too.
Aaannd, now I want thinaddictives. LOL

This sounds silly, but I love hearing you guys talk about Wegmans.....I am originally from WNY. I live in NC now and we have no "real" grocery stores. Although Wegmans announced this week they are building one an hour from me ( whoot whoot, It will sooo be worth the trip).
Also, a lot of my family lives in the Syracuse area (Skeanatles, Elbridge, ****ro) so it gives me a warm fuzzy listening to you mention roads like Onadoga....
totally WLS unreleated but just thought I would throw it out there ?

I'm sulking a bit today b/c of the damn snow. My son is part of the Y's basketball league and we're supposed to go to a sixer's game on Saturday. Its a whole evening event with autograph opportunities etc-- probably won't happen cause of the snow. Mind you I paid $200 to upgrade our tickets... I'm sure they will reschedule it- but I was SO looking forward to it- I've never been to an NBA game before (And i know the sixers suck right now LOL). And my son got in trouble in school so I need to give him a consequence so i was going to take away something else-- but since the snow will probably cancel the game it will seem like 'double' punishment to him. GRRR--- mother nature really needed to cooperate!
Time since Surgery: 8+ months
M1: 1 egg/1/4c egg beaters w/cheese, bologna (hubby finished the ham-- GRRRR-- bologna does NOT sit well but I needed more protein!)
M2: Traders Joes Peanut Butter & Jelly greek Yogurt ( I have a hunch I will NOT like this)
M3- TJ's Turkey meatball in sauce (these were only OK to me-- I prefer BJ's brand).
M4: Chili or spaghetti (I'd rather chili...w cornbread..yummm...)

I picked up a TJ's Peanut Butter and Jelly greek yogurt yesterday and then thought to myself "I don't think I'll actually like this" and didn't buy it. You'll have to report back on the flavor!
