What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good Thursday morning, all! My mother always said that Thursday was her favorite day of the week, because she knew the next day was Friday. LMAO Whatever gets you through, right?
My menu is a mess because I need to shop so this is tentative at best. I may order out with the lunch delivery crowd today. No matter where they order from, there's usually something I can eat. I hope they order from the Burger Joint today, because I am craving me some red meat. LOL

Yeeahhh, this isn't enough food. LOL I'm going to have to add something somewhere.
Hmmm...I can get behind loving Thursday actually, even if I don't love THIS Thursday in particular!
I woke up soooo congested and actually decided to skip my first meeting of the day, which is less meeting and more informal gripe session of local library directors, so not a big loss. That means I'm starting my day slowly with a cup of peppermint tea and I'm going to make an omelette after I've posted. Then it will be off to the races, which won't complete until late tonight since this is my Board meeting night.
The impending snow storm has everyone in a tizzy - myself included, I'm not gonna lie. I hit TJ's last night and it was a mad house, but the funniest thing is the ONE thing I wanted was their individually packaged 1oz goat cheese medallions and of course they were out! Who has a snow storm induced run on GOAT CHEESE? I had to buy a FIVE OZ package and I'll be forced to weigh my own 1oz servings #FirstWorldProblems.

Thursday is my busiest day because we have the food pantry open, but I love the chance to help people *****ally need it and see that they and their kids have food to eat. My hubby says I am a softie because I have been known to drive food to them if they have no transportation, but I enjoy doing it. It makes my situation look SO much better too! We live paycheck to paycheck since hubby retired but at least we do have food on the table and monew to pay the bills. Post op just about 41 months and weight at 121.4 today. On track with vitamins and sipping a cup of coffee. Here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c venison chili with cheese D last night's supper 1 piece fried bologna and a sunny side up egg S Greek yogurt. Exercise will be 31/2 miles on the dread mill and 30 minutes on the bike. Have a great day everybody and make some smart choices!
You are doing the work of the angels, Karen. When I retire, which is some years off, I really look forward to spending more time with my Board work, and volunteering. I do a lot now, but would love the opportunity to devote more time and effort to it. Keep being a "softie." There is so much unmet need out there, and it is people like you that make this world a better place.

I've been feeling good all week, and I even felt pretty okay until I got into work today and my boss annoyed the **** out of me. Why do some people have to second guess every little thing? Stupid things, but it's so annoying. She is very much a type a personality and spent this morning digging through the supply cabinet looking for sticky putty so "I" could hang a calendar on a metal cabinet without using tape. I've been using tape to hang it for the last 3 years without any issues. Anyway, there was no sticky putty, and I hung it with tape as I planned.
My husband came with me to therapy last night and I felt like it was very productive. We were both able to speak our minds and my therapist helped us make a plan for working through a couple of small issues we have with communicating. The biggest being that my husband is afraid of me, lol. He's afraid of ******g me off, so he keeps things that bother him to himself and basically plays the martyr. That ****** me off. LOL! So anyway, we'll be communicating more, and I look forward to how things are going to change. We don't have major problems in our relationship, but there are some things that come up from time to time that never get resolved.
Here's my plan for the day:
5.5 months since surgery
B: 1 fried egg and 1 piece of bacon. (I burned the bacon a little cooking it while I packed my lunch, I ate it still because it's bacon and you don't waste it if it's not complete charcoal) DECAF coffee with one cream and splenda. I should have gotten regular
L: chicken with chili no beans (hot dog chili) with 1/2 oz shredded cheese
D: BLT lettuce wrap.
S: light and fit greek yogurt and 1/2 a white chocolate raspberry quest bar.
Totals:
Calories 703 protein 70 carbs 28 (winning) fat 36
I just had a thought. It's funny how I can type some things in a message board post that I would never say. I would never say "winning" in that context in any conversation, ever, but I don't have any problem posting here on the boards, go figure.
