GNC
Does anyone know if GNC carries post-WLS vitamins and a variety of protein brands (I've heard good things about Unjury unflavored). I live in a realtively rural area and I know there is a GNC nearby. As a morbidly obese person I've never had any need (or desire) to go to a nutrition or vitamin shop. I'm not big on ordering online and was hoping to find a place to obtain some samples. I may just have to get over myself and order some online samples. I'm trying to do as much research as possible pre-op. Thanks for your expert opinions!

GNC does carry a lot, but they do not carry Unjury. The only place I have found unjury is through their website. I have never tried their unflavored, but I love the Chocolate Supreme and chicken soup flavors.
I'm not sure about the vitamins, they carry a lot, but I've never looked for bariatric vitamins there.
I get my vitamins from walmart or cvs. I did buy their GNC wheybolic protein powder. I've gotten chocolate, vanilla, cookies and cream and cinnamon bun. If you go in they might be able to let you try a couple while you are there. Good news is that if you don't like it you can return it.
the individual packets of quest are there also, and isopure
One good thing about GNC or Vitamin Shoppe if you try a protein or anything else for that matter you can return it within 30 days with receipt even if opened. GNC gives a full refund, and Vitamin Shoppe gives you a store credit.
That being said I do not really care for the GNC Ready-to-drink Lean Shake... not based on flavor but didn't find it satisfying at all, like I had just drank flavored water. I returned them. Not all GNC carry the same brands but two I recommend that I have seen there are Jay Robb and Bodylogix Natural Whey or it will say Whey Isolate. Both delicious, and sweetened with Stevia.
I actually find the Bodylogix Natural Whey at Walgreens, their regular price is a little cheaper and when they put it on sale it is $22 for a big container.
Many people use Centrum as their multivitamin.which is easy to find. Just need to take 2 of them.

I loved the flavor... I bought the pumpkin and the mint birthday cake one... I drink plenty of Chocolate Premier so I was looking to expand my flavor choices. The guy in the store was so nice and let me taste test every one... Just when I got home and drank a whole one...like I said felt like I had drank water. No satisfaction at all.

My local GNC carries everything except the calcium citrate but I think their a bit pricey I find amazon has better prices and selection also there shipping usually comes in a day or two before they estimate.
Both GNC and the Vitamin shop have been great to let me taste the powdered protein and return things I didn't like. I found a really good protein powder there (Vitamin World) and sometimes add the powdered peanut butter. Yum. I'm sure GNC has good ones also or the same one. I personally order Bariatric Advantage vitamins and their Calcium Citrate caramels. I read the labels and hands down these are the best. For young women, I think they get a prescription for Iron if needed. I am afraid of all the non absorption now and down the line and this makes me feel safe. I also used the Costco Fiber but found good gummy fiber at Walgreens also. I take 15 grams or 6 pcs. I use them like a desert. Do listen and use the Miralax also. It had something to do with the protein powder for me because I don't need any fiber or miralax and I am a year out but my diet rarely has protein powder.
