Anyone Ever Try Graze.Com?
Yep... I'm a food addict. This won't be easy - but I've got to learn some way to maintain, and at least these things are portion controlled (my biggest problem is portion sizes when left to my own devices!), and contain some healthy ingredients. I'm willing to try, but also going to watch it carefully. Everything else in my daily diet will remain the same as it is now. Just with one added snack (hope I can stop, though).
Portion control bags never stopped me. It never hurt my feelings to open one two or three or more bags,if that was what I wanted.
They also have small portion controlled bags of Oreos, Goldfish crackers, Cheez Its, and chocolate chip cookies. Just because they are portion controlled doesn't make them a good choice.
I already replied with my own experience, but I will add that you will probably be surprised at how few of the high sugar fruit or crunchy carb croutons/whatever will cause you to crave MORE sugar/carbs. This is my 8 years of post-op experience speaking, and almost every single vet (over 5 years out) will tell you the same. You are still very early in maintenance. The longer you can avoid these kinds of non-protein snacks, the better off you will be down the road.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Just make sure of what you are doing as habit forming. Not sure how far you are out of surgery? I lost 21lbs more than I was suppose to but after 5 years post surgery. I was trying to maintain or not lose anymore. Got in the habit of snacking and now I have gained 40lbs of the 143 pounds I lost 7 years ago.
I'm almost a year out. And I'm quite positive it's going to get harder with each passing year. I wish I could wave a magic wand and stay right where I am. But duh... if I had a magic wand I would've never gained the weight in the first place!
Thanks for your input. I'm gonna take this slowly and carefully.
I have friends that use these and I ordered a box for myself that should be arriving before too long. I think if they fit within your numbers/goals for nutrition it shouldn't be an issue. It's a nice way to get a variety of snacks that fit whatever plan you are following. I know they have some low carb/low cal options. So far so good.
Looks like a lot of carb heavy snacks to me. I'd probably eat them all in one shot, but that's just me.
