While all that "looks good," it makes me nervous, I'm afraid it would start a bad habit.

I tried a sample pack and then got one order of four of the larger bags of a couple of items, but then did not keep the membership.  Several reasons:

1) expensive compared to other (healthier) snacks

2) I did not like that you HAD to select a certain number of options and then THEY would decide which ones to send you. If I could have said "send me w, x, y, and z", I might have continued, but what they do is balance out the less expensive options (seasoned croutons) with the more expensive  -- and healthier -- ones (e.g., with dried fruits)

3) I have my own snacks that are healthier, lower carb, higher protein, and lower calorie (or a much larger portion for the same number of calories)

4) when you are only eating 1200-1300 calories to maintain your weight, 10% of the total caloric intake for a single snack with no protein is too much.

5) eating the few samples that I got FELT a lot like when I would sit down with a bag of chips/Doritos/etc.. It felt like too much of a slippery slope to me.

Just my experience and thoughts.

550 is pretty low calories for 10 months out... you may even still lose at 900. I would stick top the foods I am used to eating and start increasing the foods I am already comfortable with. I wouldn't throw a wrench in the works.

I do sometimes make my own trail mix or there are these little bags I find once and a while at Marshalls/TJ Maxx that I buy. But I don't eat them all the time. They are more in my "I will be out for hours and I need to take something with me" stash. I would be afraid if I had something coming to my house every week I would feel the need to eat through them every week.

My homemade trail mix starts with these dried (soft) apples I buy at Aldis. I cut them into smaller pieces, add raisins, almonds, walnuts. Heavier on the nuts of course.

I was going to try Love with Food since they have a gluten free option so I could learn what snacks are out there that I don't know about.  It is very pricey so I chickened out.
