What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
on 1/20/16 6:08 am
Im having quite the opposite problem...my week is FLYING. Monday holiday and weird meeting schedules are throwing everything off and I can't believe I only have 2.5 days left to accomplish everything on my to-do lost this week.
Still haven't been to the grocery store so another sad menu. Tonight I get to decide whether to shop or go to support group...?
B: protein coffee
S: almonds
L: Greek yogurt
D: depends on whether I go shopping!!

I can commiserate with AV on the waking up in the middle of the night. I think mine is that I am bony and wake up with my hip hurting. Sometimes I can reposition and go right back to sleep and other times I cant. I used to sleep like I was in a coma too but not anymore. We got about 11/2 inches of snow in my part of Illinois. Unless it warms considerably I will be on the treadmill again today. I will do 3 miles in a few after coffee and 30 minutes on the bike this afternoon. Before bed I might do another mile as well. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili made with venison D 1 piece of fried bologna and 1 scrambled egg S Greek yogurt. Weight today at almost 41 months post op is 121.6. Stay warm and safe all and make some smart choices!
You talking about your hip reminded me of something I found HILARIOUS(though I too wake up with the pain)
Last week at work I was doing something, we dont have offices but the rows and rows of cubicles with 6 foot walls. I went to reach something and brushed myself and something cracked. I was FREAKED out. I had to leave my desk(huge no no) and rushed to the bathroom to examine myself. I thought I had broken something....turns out it was a HIP BONE!! I guess we don't realize the little thing that will change as we lose weight.
I do feel like this week is draaaaaaging on and on. I have also decided that I want to quit my "job" as Mom in charge in the morning. I am SO SICK of being that ****ty Mom who has to yell for anything to get done. WHY do kids wait until I lose my cool to actually do what I say??? Anyway.....its shark week around these parts and I let my hormone filled head hunger win me over this morning and I had two Ritz crackers with chunky peanut butter ...UGH I already don't like my numbers, but whatever.

I think the morning time getting the kids out the door for school--or getting the kids ready for the day if there is no school--is a very had time. I find myself nibbling at the things I am preparing for them for breakfast or for their lunches. So I get the Ritz cracker thing. For me, one reason it is a hard time is that I don't usually want to eat anything yet, but I am kind of hungry and there is food all over the place. Not really bad food, but food not on my plan. I also want to have 2 cups of liquid before eating anything, and it has to be warm, and so it has to be herb tea. (Has to.) So lately what I have been doing is making some tea the night before and letting it sit overnight. Then I just heat it up in the microwave and it is ready for me as I get everyone going. Still a challenging time, but getting better.
And yeah. I get the kids waiting until you lose your cool before doing stuff. Universal Mom problem.
This is the first time I have eaten in the morning in a LONG TIME, I normally just do my protein drink and I am happy with that. But this morning, I saw the damn peanut butter and my brain was like OMG WOMEN....YOU MUST HAVE THAT. ugh I wasnt even packing lunches or making food! HAHAH

Morning AV and the crew. I'm feeling super duper awesome today! I feel for you, Kristen, with your lack of sleep. yesterday I was dragging ass because my 2 year old got up at 4am. I'm hurting if I get less than 7 hours of sleep, and yesterday I got about 5.5 tops. Last night he slept through completely, and I slept until after 6am. It was glorious since I had our whole king size bed to myself since my husband was travelling for work.
My stall has officially ended. I dropped another 2lbs, for a total of 3lbs since Sunday. It feels incredible, and my pants are really starting to get loose. Not the kind of loose that I need a new size yet, but just feeling roomier. I'm going shopping this weekend to get a dress for Valentine's day when my husband and I are going to see The Price is Right Live at a casino near here. Everyone keeps asking if I'm going to dress up in something silly for it, but I've decided that I am going to dress for dinner at the steakhouse there at the casino. I hope we get picked to be contestants and we win some awesome prizes!
I WATCHED Zumba on YouTube last night. I had to download Youtube to my TV and it took me a while to get it all set up. I found some really cool Zumba classes on there, but by the time I got it all together, I was wiped out and just sat and watched them dance! It's a step in the right direction though, right?
here's my plan for the day:

L: shrimp romaine salad with cukes, tomatoes, feta and 34 degree crackers (3 crackers)Skinny girl salad dressing
D: chicken salad with a few 34 degree crackers
S: 1 mini spinach pie, light and fit Greek yogurt and 1/2 a Power Crunch protein bar
