I am looking for suggestions for some indoor alternatives for walking when the weather is bad.

I use our local Y, so I'm always switching between treadmill, elliptical, and stairmill. I combine this with the weight machines.
If you're looking for something at home, my wife really likes zumba videos. There's tons on youtube, and her favorites are by a group called Club Fitz. If you don't have a smart TV or a video game system like Xbox One or PS4, you can get a Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV stick for under $50, and it's worth it to get the videos on the TV.

See if your local mall has an open mall walker time. Or if by indoor you mean things to do at home... I've got a Wii and my daughter will challenge me to do "Just Dance". I look ridiculous, but we get a lot of good belly laughs out of it.
