3 months out, but the strangest thing happened - anyone else relate?

Ah, that makes a ton more sense!  :)  I'd definitely recommend talking to your doc...if you're having a bad reaction on the dose they recommended, either something needs to be adjusted or something else is going on. Either way, good luck!
