No longer overweight for the first time since age 6! Question about clothes...
According to the "new Canadian math", 2+2=5, so we'll go with 5.

I'm thankful for the replies, but it seems like a lot of people have completely misinterpreted my original post. I'm not having any trouble finding clothes. I'm not asking for help for myself to find clothes. I am not skinny. I'm simply wondering how, due to vanity sizing that puts someone who's just barely not *over*weight in an XS, how anyone who's *actually* skinny finds clothes. The ridiculousness of vanity sizing is exactly what I was trying to highlight.
Not trying to dampen your enthusiasm ...but...some advice from an old vet...TRY TRY TRY not to get TOO hung up on NUMBERS, be they on the scale, or on clothing tags...As other wise peeps have said, VANITY sizing is a clever *****
Fur, you are a "fresh loser"....your body hasn't "adjusted" to its new sizing yet. Even when you get to your "goal scale number", your body sizing may still very well "wiggle around"....I don't know how else to describe it...With me, the scale number would stay the same, but with me running, etc, my clothing sizes did all kinds of weird things...
Find a brand/designer you like, and you may have better luck in finding a "standard size", to fit your needs

Please read above -- it seems like everyone has misinterpreted my post. I am not saying I'm skinny. I'm not having any trouble finding clothes for myself.
What you'll find is that people who have been smaller or normal-size all their life (especially those with a little money) shop at higher end department stores. The size a normal person wears at a higher-end department stores is ALWAYS one-to-two sizes bigger than at places like JCPenney, Old Navy, Kohls, etc.
My SIL has always been very slim at 5'5" and 120 lbs. She shops at places like White House/Black Market and speciality boutiques where they sell high-end designer stuff. She has to get a size 8 or 10 in those clothes. My size 4 Lucky jeans are too big for her. Make sense?
And junior size clothing is cut even closer and smaller. So someone my age (over 50) can always shop in the junior section. Honestly, skinny people have no problem finding clothes in their size. And if they do, they're shopping in the wrong places.
well done u should post some victory pics. i totally get what you are saying. when not skinny and in a 4 or xs when u do get to skinny i guess you will be a -14 lol. keep up the good work and have tons of fun shopping for your newly normal self :)
