So- I jogged today....
I'm sure it could have looked like prancercising (if you haven't seen videos of this, search it on youtube), but it was a jog. I was holding out on starting because someone here mentioned it might be good to only start to jog when you were under 200 pounds due to joint issues. I reloaded the c25k app on my phone. I've tried starting this 2-3 other times and could not make it past the 2nd time the program told you to run. This time, I went all the way through the first day!
Im sure it was an interesting sight to see- But I could not believe it, and I wasn't winded or crying at the end.
Hopefully I won't be hurting too bad tommorrow
Good for you! Screw how you looked...how you felt is far more important. I started c25k at about 8 weeks post op, so I was around 280ish. My joints weren't an issue pre op, so I saw no reason to wait.I'm glad I didn't. Now I run about 3 miles a few times a week.
