Didn't know you were in Georgia, supershopper.  My son moved to Marietta in August and works as a horticulturalist at Smith Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw. We've been down one time to see him. It's a beautiful part of the country for sure!

Yes it is and we can't wait to go back. He graduated coblige in May and got hired for the first job he interviewed for. Loves the garden and the work but the boss not so much! He moved down there not knowing a soul and is enjoying it.

Hi karenp8

I grew up in Marietta in east cobb county. my mother is still living there and my sister lives in kennesaw. We moved more rural so we could avoid most of the traffic.

Hi AV. Not snowing here, but we are so cold. I guess I can't complain too much about the weather, since this is NORMAL for this time of year. I've lived in Michigan for 41 of my 42 winters, and it's always this cold here. I think I should be used to it by now, right?

My husband is driving to Iowa today for work. he figured out that it would take him less time to drive the 7.5 hours there, rather than fly direct even. Last time He flew direct to Des Moines, and then had to drive 2 hours to Iowa City, and it got him there later than when he is getting in today. He'll be driving home tomorrow. He gets paid for any overtime, so as long as he's safe, I'm just fine with it.

I oversnacked last night. My numbers were still good, but I ate off of plan. The only saving grace that I have is that I am eating WLS friendly snacks. My dinner plans changed last night and I had a pork loin chop and steamed broccoli. If I had eaten the whole 3.6oz chop, I would have come in under what my original plan was, but I couldn't finish the whole chop because my husband seasoned them for me while I was cleaning up and he oversalted, A LOT. So I only ate half of the chop. To make up for my smaller dinner, I had a WHOLE quest pumpkin pie bar later in the evening when I had only planned on half of it. THEN, I had 1/2 oz of pork rinds. I came in at 876 calories, 88 Protein, 62 carbs and 37 fats. Which you would think is okay, and I'm not crying over the numbers. I am mad that I ate the pork rinds. I wasn't hungry, I only ate them because they were staring me in the face.
Grr. The fact that I am not eating junk right now is a good thing, but I really need to break this bad habit so things don't spiral out of control.

Today's plan.

5.5 months since surgery

B: light and fit greek pineapple, one mini spinach pie, medium coffee with cream and splenda

L: a whole can of albacore, a romaine salad with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and skinny girl dressing.

D: 3.5oz baked cod, steamed broccoli with a light cheese sauce

S: turkey pepperoni and a babybel, 1/2 a Power Crunch protein bar.

Totals

Calories 696, Protein 80, Carbs 37 (hell yeah), fat 26

I didn't get to put my vitamin patches on before I left the house, so I just grabbed the packages and put them on here when I got to work. Coffee going in now and I plan on chugging water after that's gone. I already had 10oz of water before I left the house this morning.

I didn't get to do Zumba on the xbox one last night because for some reason my kinect wasn't working. I have a feeling that the living room is too small for it. SO, tonight after dinner, I am going to find some exercise dance thing on youtube/netflix/amazon prime and I can watch it on the TV in my family room that has much more room to move anyway. I will be sure to get moving tonight.

have a wonderful day, everyone!

You deserve a medal for living in a place that gets so much damn snow! Its bitter cold here today. I actually bought thermals. When I was 300+ pounds there is NO WAY I would have ever tried to wear anything under my pants-- getting the pants on were enough of a struggle. OMG-- now I see how how much I suffered all these year with freezing legs!! My bottom half is nice and toasty today. I hadn't bought a thermal top because I wanted to see how the pants worked out--  now I'm wishing I did-- I'll go back for it :-)

I went to trader Joes last night. I got this little dessert, lemon bars. They are 80cal/9gcarb/1protein for one serving (basically a tiny square a little bigger than a sugar cube.) I ate two-- OMG they are so yummy. Best part is they are frozen-- and take 40 minutes to thaw. So no chance in overeating since I'd have to purposely take out a bunch and thaw them to over eat. They are also tart with a hint of sweetness so I couldn't really see myself downing the whole box. A perfect sweet treat for me.
