What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Not too much snow out there, it snowed for hours yesterday but because we have had such fickle weather warm/cold/warm... it didn't statt really sticking till the temp dropped after 5PM. It looks icy out there. Supposed to have someone coming to my house to help me with a work project, but we will see if they venture out.
My car is a beast in the snow too but I really need new tires. They passed inspection but... not snow quality. We were having such a mild winter I was letting it slide. Good tires make such a difference.
Usually just have a shake in the AM after working out, but this morning made myself an omelet. It was so delisious. I miss eggs. rarely eat them anymore.
AV was at Walmart yesterday eyeing the Reeses Puffs... Chocolate AND Peanut Butter...use to be my go-to Chocolate fix at that time of the month. If they had a small box I might not have resisted. I get it.
B: 2 egg omelet with sauteed fresh spinach, mozzarella and parmesan.

Good morning,
Not loving the snow this morning, but the commute wasn't too bad. I'm hoping this is the last year with the van in the snow.
Busy weekend, housework, laundry, football, and an "Ava Hour" yesterday at my sil's.
Have any of you ever tried "Ava Anderson" non-toxic products. This is what I went to yesterday, the products are all natural, organic and free of all toxins. Very educational presentation, I was surprised what toxic items were in my "organic and natural products" that I buy regularly. I did buy a couple of things and am going to have a party at my house next month. They have home products, baby products, pet products, cosmetics. I'm looking forward to receiving my eye cream and hyaluronic acid serum. I'll let you know how they work.

It is freaking cold here in Jersey this morning. I am so glad I work from home on Mondays. I will get dressed soon. I hate not being put together. It just feels good typing by the wood stove. I do like to drive in the snow. I am just scared of falling on the ice since I have this stupid boot on my foot.

Enjoy the day stay warm and safe.
Good morning! Our office is technically closed today for MLK Day but the attorneys are kind of expected to work. I'm taking advantage of the closure and taking a 9:30 class at the gym with a friend. I'll come home, take a quick shower and go spend the afternoon in the office. It's as good as it's going to get from me. My scale is still going in the wrong direction, even though my eating has been clean, my calories are below 1000 and I'm exercising. Not going to panic and will stay on plan. Here's my food.
B: light and fit and PB2
L: hamburger patty with grilled onions and cheese
D: either grilled chicken breast and veg or zucchini boats with ground beef, spaghetti sauce and mozzarella.
trying as hard as possible to cut out all snacks and keep it to 3 meals to kickstart the scale. We'll see how it goes. No totals since I'm not sure about dinner, but I'm sure I'll be under 1000. My biggest concern is my protein total since I need to be as close to 100g as possible. I'll update my totals later. Have a good day and stay warm!

Mmm, Lucky Charms. I remember, as a mobidly obese child, picking out the marshmallows, then being annoyed by the suggestion that I eat the rest of it. I only wanted the marshmallows. I hated cereal as a child, but loved the marshmallows. I would tollerate Rasin Bran if I had to have cereal -- probably because of all the sugar.
I'm trying to figure out my middle of the day eating plan. On Friday they rescheduled my husband's surgery to today so we will be heading the hospital soon, and I'll be at the hospital for most of the day. It's outpatient surgery, so I'm hoping to be home for dinner. As for the morning, I slept in until almost 10 (that was kinda awesome!) and just finished a protien coffee at 11:30. I'm not hungry, so I don't really want to eat lunch before we leave. Hopefully they will have a decent lunch option at the hospital while I wait for the surgery to finish. It also just occurred to me that I'll need to be creative to get my water in today.
This weekend I took advantage of having a few extra days before needing to take care of the hubby so I took care of a bunch of errands, and went to the gym twice. Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and I have at least two days worth of left overs so that will be dinner.

B: Protien Coffee
L: Whatever I can find in the hospital cafeteria, hopefully a protein and cooked veggies of some kind
S: Protien bar, Tea (hopefully I can get a tea latte at the hospital)

S: Sleepy Time tea, tea buscuits

From midnight to about 930 am it was pure white outside. Right now the snow has stopped at the moment. Glad that I did not have to drive anywhere this morning. I do not have 4 wheel drive and am a grandma driving in the Lake Effect snow all hands on deck with welts on my palms LOL. Thanks for asking A/V. Glad your sleepover went well. They are forcasting another 6-10 inches of snow drive carefully later A/V.
I started my overnight shifts over the weekend and ate clean. My stomach has been off since Thursday. Thought the shift change would make me feel really sick but not so. Last night I ate a Trader Joes Veggie Burger and got very sick after. Did not have chest pain or dumping it just all came right back up..... Sorry gross to post in a food thread.
I again am unplanned today. I slept in and ate my usual boring egg puffs. I am in need of basic grocery items but have high protein low carb stuff here.
I am making a promise to myself to start planning in advance.
Congrats on your sleepover - what brave soul you are!
Well, I'm still caring for my Mom after her stroke (she's getting better, though) and juggling a full-time job, plus my own home and furbabies and staying nights at Mom's house to help with IV's and such... so eating properly is still a challenge. I've now dipped 7 pounds below the goal my doc said was healthy for me, so I'm trying to add a few calories to my day. Since I'm go-go-going (Mom has 2 doc appointments, plus I'm working 6 hours then staying the nights with her), I'm trying a new approach to eating today.
I packed a small, divided and self-iced Tupperware container stock full of healthy snacks that I can munch on whenever I get the chance. So, my menu is not a normal B, L, D, S day. It's pretty much all just snacks that I have to find time to get in. (Has anyone done this when needed? Is it dangerous?)
Please let me know if I've lost my mind:
B: Protein Shake
S: HB Egg
S: 2 graham crackers with 1 tsp Jiff PB
S: Baby bell Cheese
S: Package Thin Addictives w/Laughing Cow Wedge

S: S/F jello
S: Mini Slim Jim
S: 10 Almonds
D: 1 oz Carving Board Turkey w/.5 oz fat free moz cheese
