Is this a bad idea?
i am signing my daughter up for Taekwondo. She has been bugging me for a few months, and I am finally getting off my butt and doing it. The have a cardio kickboxing class for adults on the same days after her taekwondo class that I was thinking about signing up for. Im just afraid I am still too out of shape for something like this. It is a 45min class of non-stop movement. I don't want to go there and embarrass myself or worse injure myself.

Not a bad idea at all! Especially if it works with the kids schedule! What a good example of being healthy and active you are setting for your daughter. I would suggest talking to the instructor before class, usually they can show modifications of the more advanced moves until you are more comfortable doing them. And really no one will be looking at you. Most people that come to group fitness classes are focusing on themselves.
Keep us posted and I wish you the best of luck!
Usually they let you audit or have a class for $5 or $10 - from your picture, you look like you should be able to do it.

I absolutely LOVE my kickboxing class! It's a great whole-body workout and you can go at your own pace. I had to modify a lot in the beginning, but you will be able to work up to doing harder things. I'm still afraid of jumping and doing burpees but I know I'll be able to do them eventually. I've been there for about 9 months. The instructors where I go work with you at your level. Mine is an hour class and before you know it, you are done with the class. Depending on how hard you push yourself, you may be pretty sore. Like someone else said, try it out for a couple classes to see if you like it. I fell in love with it the very first class!! It has really helped firm my body up while losing. Have a great time, get some aggression out and don't worry about anyone else in class... they are concentrating on themselves! Best wishes!
I took kickboxing when I was over 300lbs. You can do it. There was very little I had to modify. I may not have done as many rep**** as strong, or kicked as high but was totally doable.
