Thank you so much for your response. You are absolutely correct! I didn't realize there were other kinds. Here is the correct link for the ones I bought.

And I also appreciate the kind response. I know that a lot of us have real issues with controlling the carb monster within. I also know of several individuals that do not obsess over carbs and are still successful in maintaining a good balance. And that is what I am hoping for...balance.

"Hoping for balance"...
I am truly not tying to be snarky, but how did that work for you before you had surgery? Unfortunately, it's probably going to work just as well once you quit losing...
Seriously, why DID you post this? You started out by telling us not to wag our fingers. When peoplempolitely told you why they thought it was a bad decision (even though you already made the purchase) you said you felt like a child being chastised. What kind of response were you looking for? "Sure, go ahead, it should be just fine"?

edited for a typo that made one sentence confusing.

So for whatever reason, my edited post is not showing up on my original thread. I made a mistake and didn't realize there was a few different varieties available. The one I purchased was not the one above but this one:

This one has even more carbs, as well as 50% more calories. Yes, it has more protein, but so what? It doesn't make it healthier, and it doesn't make it a wise choice post WLS.
Clearly, you were just looking for someone to say these looked great. But if we were any good at balance or moderation, none of us would be here right now. People who come back complaining of regain never say they had too much ham, fish, or broccoli. It's always processed carbs like this crap. Pretending it's healthy by adding a tiny bit of protein is just rationalizing a poor choice.
Best of luck. Really.

What Grim said...don't delete!!
This post is a good reminder that even though a product spouts that it is high protein...it still may not be the best choice for bariatric post-ops.
A lot of us here still wants healthier versions of the old foods we ate before...I do it too, but I cook pancakes similarly to Hala...I just use almond and coconut flours and either stevia or erithrytol for the sweetner. There are quite a few websites for the low carb/ bariatric way of eating that probably gave some sort of pancake recipe on them.
Edited for typo.

Thank you once again for your comments. I have decided to return it to the store. If this stupid website would work; the post would have been deleted by now. Unfortunately it is not offering me the option to delete. Have a nice day...
I agree -- don't delete!
We all have to learn through this process and hopefully learn from each other. No one can understand what it takes to really be successful on this journey who hasn't been there. Normies think that we can eat like they do and maintain/lose -- but we cannot. Unfortunately, company's feed upon our desire for tasty things by adding key words like natural, healthy, high-protein, gluten-free, etc to lure us into buying crap.
Hugs to you. I understand the stupid carb monster and just wanting something "tasty" once and a while. I am so glad you decided to do the best thing for yourself and return it.
Good luck!
