Welcome to OH!   You will find a lot of great information here and you will meet some great people.  If I could offer any suggestions to anyone just starting this journey, I would tell them that the surgery is just one component of this journey.  You have to change your relationship with food, you need to exercise and you need support.   You seem to be heading in the right direction.  So, just know that we are always here to help you along the way and answer any questions you might have.

Best Wishes!

Welcome Lemmnc. Being in the 50's enabled me to put major focus on just myself.  The six month preparation time insurance required was helpful to learn a lot. Three years later and the learning continues. My suggestions would be to read and reread the book, "Weight Loss Surgery, Finding the Thin Person Inside..." by Barbara Thompson and to start attending a WLS support group now.

Welcome!  I stalked this site like a fiend for the year prior to my surgery.  I used that search button at the top a million times.  There was not one topic that I didn't find posted about.  FanDangtastic!

Time will fly by..
