What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Hello all,
Today is my first FULL day back at work- last week I did 1/2 days. My email box is overflowing and I have to stay calm. There is just so much to do. Kind of wished I had not done 1/2 days last week. Support group tonight which is 45 min away.
My husband and I do gamble but only on occasion and with a budget in mind. We have been to vegas a few times.
I got a little lax on my water intake the other day (only got 45 instead of 60) and I can really feel it the next day. Dizziness etc. Drinking a ton from now on.
B: GNC wheybolic cookies n creme powder with lactaid FF milk
L: either refried beans or tuna or something in the fridge that is ready to go
D: Brisket with green beans
Not sure on snacks, haven't planned that far in advance
Oh man! Too bad you didn't win, AV. In my mind if you had won you would have flown all us Menu posters (even wayward ones like me) to some lovely destination for an in-person meet and greeting and recipe exchange...
I've never really gambled much. My one foray into an Atlantic City casino was hysterical because neither my sister nor I could figure out how to do anything. I did one time walk into a slots parlor in London, put in a pound coin and win 50, then proceeded to play one more pound and win ANOTHER 50! The pints were on me that night.
Looks like the Pip has successfully been "sleep trained" and I had the Goose with me both Friday and Saturday night. We had a lot of fun, though I fear I'm teaching her incredibly bad food habits since I let her eat ice cream for breakfast on Sunday morning. Yesterday I did SO MUCH ADULTING, it hurt. I worked out, went to two grocery stores, cooked mini meatloads and turkey sloppy joe, cleaned my apartment like a mad woman, and picked out all my outfits for this week. Yesh!

I have to thank you nice fellow RNYers for your posts. I made some recipes over the weekend and put some in the freezer and some in the fridge. I searched online for recipes and found some pretty interesting ones. Here is a url for one of the recipe sites that I found

Nope never gambled or bought a lottery ticket but this weekend I begged my BFF to buy one and we vowed to split the winnings. Haha. Probably nothing we need to worry about...
I'm still recovering from my weekend tummy troubles. Not sure if it was dumping, Reactive Hypoglycemia, or just a virus but it was pretty miserable. I slept for 11 hours last night which I don't think I've done sincetoddler-hood. But on the plus side...down a pound and a half!
B: fit frappe espresso

Ok. I want to scream i am SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY! You may not remember, but after my 6 month post op I was really upset. Doc told me I would be lucky to get to 220, "in his experience". I was upset, mad, angry...then just motivated. I did NOT alter my body to still be obese. I did NOT almost die from complications to remain obese. People on here gave me a pep talk and I kept plugging along. I didnt weigh all last week because I knew I kept knocking into that 220 and then self sabotaging myself up a couple of pounds. As of today......217!!! Kiss my skinny, wrinkly hind end doc!!!
And now we return to our regularly scheduled program. No, I dont gamble. Nothing against it but it seems to take a lot of thinking and I dont have that kind of brain power. I do buy powerball tickets when it gets big, but it is nostalgia. It is something my mom used to do and I miss her like crazy.
Todays menu:
premier protein with cafe americano
Buffalo chicken salad with pork rinds
Spaghetti squash with bolognese
Wendys grilled chicken and sugarfree cherry powerade(LOVE this flavor and you can only get it in the coke machine)
cheddar cheese stick
POSSIBLY a swiss miss diet hot cocoa with collagen mixed in
