If it happens again, try reverse stretches away from the knot, ie think back bends, to take pressure off the muscles that are squeezing the skin that popped through the gap/tear in the muscles, then massage it back it.  If it happens regularly, you may need surgery, but it is relatively simple one...  Hope you are feeling better...

I have an incisional hernia. Went for a cat scan in November. I have occasional pain but can't really feel anything. More a problem with nausea. I don't have any intestines coming through, the report says it is blocked by fat. "YAY Fat!" hahahaha.... Part of what made me start my Plastic Surgery search when I did... have it all done at the same time.

Went to my surgeon this morning.  He couldn't feel anything but ordered a CT scan because it definitely sounds like and is in the right place for an incisional hernia.  How long did they say recover time would be for surgery if done alone?

I really want this to be nothing.  But Dr. has me exercise free until he can rule a hernia out...

I don't gamble because the only luck I have is bad AND as my hubby would say,I am a tightwad! Hubby did buy a ticket and matched zero numbers as expected. Had a busy weekend as hubby and I went to a daylong training to be able to go into disaster areas and help with clean up through UMCOR,the United Methodist Committee on Relief. They go in after disasters to help families who have no families around and need extra help sorting debris and such. So not anything I would ever have done before weight loss surgery! Don't know if we'll ever get called but we are trained now. Finally had snow here Saturday night and was too cold for Lily and I to walk outside so I had to do the treadmill instead. YUCK! Hoping it gets warm enough today to do some walking outside but if not it will be 3 miles on the treadmill again and 30 minutes on the bike too at some point. Weight today is 121.6 and here's the eats B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1/2 c mushroom soup and 31/2 Oz deli chicken and cheese D 31/2 Oz pulled pork with 1/2 c Brussels sprouts S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everybody and make smart choices!

Good morning! I had an awesome weekend. I stayed with my nephew again so mommy could get some sleep. I got 4.5 hours of sleep Saturday night, but it was fun and everytime I am reminded how in awe I am of single moms. I wish I could help them all. Anyway, that kid is getting to be a chunker. He's almost 12 pounds and is just over 8 weeks old. He was so sweet and smiled for me. My sister in law thinks I'm a "natural" with babies, but it's just that I really wanted to have another one but now that I'm 42 and would have to wait for 2 years to get pregnant, we decided that another one would not be in our best interest. I was super baby crazy saturday, having all of these thoughts about maybe adopting, and then Sunday morning I was burping sweet little Declan when he projectile puked all over me. Yep, I think I'll just volunteer to help with him from now on, don't need another one of my own. LOL.

I binge watched Making a Murder this weekend. I am in such shock at how things played out in that story. I've sat on a jury for a criminal case, and despite the claims that we didn't see some of the evidence, I KNOW that there was reasonable doubt that he was the one who did it. There are too may what ifs. It's scary. Anyway, I'm sure there will be opinions both ways, but if you've watched the documentary, what did you think?

As for gambling, I fall in the kinda category. I don't play lottery on a regular basis, and I rarely go to the casino. I HATE slot machines. I feel like I'm throwing my money away for nothing, but I LOVE playing Texas Hold'em at the poker tables. I'm rusty now, but I've gone and won playing at the $1/$2 tables. I play very tight, so I usually end up with a little something. My husband is a gambler. He regularly plays lottery, buys scratchers occasionally, and would go to the casino every weekend if we had the extra money to throw away. He's got a good attitude about it though, because he doesn't play with more than he can afford to lose, and considers the time he spends playing enjoyable enough to be worth it if he loses it all.

Here's my plan for the day:

Just over 5 months since surgery

B: wonton quiche 160, coffee with cream and splenda 70

L: Leftover beef stew from dinner last night, yummy. 190 calories

D: Ham with maybe some scalloped potatoes and steamed veg 230ish (less if I am good and just eat veg instead of potatoes, making the potatoes for my kids. I'm logging it because I want to completely real with my plan)

S: Light and Fit Greek Caramel Apple Pie 80, a dill pickle spear

Totals:

Cal 734 Protein 65 (sad face) Carb 57 fat 29

Here are pics of me and my new boyfriend, lol.

So I got all the stuff I needed to make the breakfast Wantons on Saturday, and made them Sunday morning, planning to eat them throughout the week as a breakfast/lunch. I made six, left them out to cool, and went to the gym. When I got home there where TWO left! My husband and kids REALLY liked them! Looks like I will need to double the recipe :) thanks for sharing!!

Hi - would you post the wonton breakfast menu?  I'm testing out using rice paper wraps for stuff.  Thanks

It's a quiche that used the wrapper as a crust. Here is a link to the recipe I use.
