looking for oldtimers who had surgery around 2010 or early
Hey I'm old too. I had my surgery in 2010 and my lowest weight was 160. I was up 70lbs. Then lost about 20 then I got married and gained 13 now I'm back down 7 since January 4th. So I'm hoping I can just keep my head in the game and not stop the weight loss. I have found it to be really hard this time around.
Hi there, been forever since I been on this site. But I had my surgery Oct 2010. I have a regain of about 20 lbs. I also have many physical problems and hard to exercise daily. BUT.. I am doing a thing called BACK on TRACK from bariatriceating.com and it is wear you have 5 protein drinks a day.. 1 first thing in morning. And 1 healthy meal.. but if late eater..keep 5th shake for then. and drink water. start journaling again. I am a stress eating and been fighting emotional eating lately.. some serious things going on in my life but doing what can to get grip. I think also out of mind out of sight is a problem.. when getting too comfortable with life, not keeping track of things like in beginning, not keeping mind in the moment..we loose ourselves. My lowest was 164.. I got to 187..now today 183. I wish you the best and don't give up. Good luck!
Thank you everyone for answering my blog. It is nice to know I am not the only one who is struggling with this regain. Thank you all for adding me as your friend too. It is nice to have one another for support. You can message me anytime if you want to chat or if you just need someone to listen. I am here. I am down 3 lbs since my regain. Not much but I am working on it. Began logging my food again in MFP and going to the gym 6-7 times a week Hopefully, this will come off soon.
My WLS was done in 2008. April this year makes 8 years and counting.
I had RNY, and I'm thankful that I did it. It's changed my life for the better.
Supporting one another is the best thing we can do for each other.
