Goofy's Kitchen & BSV
Goofy's Kitchen- Last night we took my 4 year old son to Goofy's Kitchen for his Birthday. It is located at the Disneyland Hotel and it's a crazy expensive buffet where all the characters come around to all the tables and take photos with you. My inner fat girl was freaking out a bit, "good golly a buffet!" The new healthier me was kind to myself and I sort of coached myself through the whole thing. I took very little portions of some my favorite foods, along with protein and veggies. I felt so successful including eating 1 scalloped potato (seriously 1) and 1 teeny tiny bite of a cobbler, like the tip of spoon's worth.
This morning....Big Scale Victory-I'm Normal! I finally hit the normal BMI range today! I can hardly believe it. I always think of this journey as strange and I'm constantly chasing the next goal. When I first started, my 1st goal was to lose down to my old fat weight, then my pre-pregnancy weight, then my wedding weight, then it was to get into the normal BMI range (Hooray I'm there) Now my final goal is to get my goal weight which I am now 19 lbs away from... I am thinking when I get there I may want to go below my goal to give myself a little bounce back weight cushion and then finally when I get to that weight I want to maintain it. I am getting used to having a constant inner drive to continue to get to the next goal, I have been joyful at each stage but it does keeps me vigilant!!! ( I do have other goals in life but this one is tops as well as awesome!)
Congratulations! Going below your goal is a great idea to give you a bit of leeway. My goal was originally 165then 145 and I ended up at my lowest at 118 which was two thin. My body has regulated itself to the 120 to 123 range and I have been here a bit over 2 years. It does take vigilance everyday to stay there. But the longer term vets show me it can be done. Congratulations again!
Wow, that's amazing!!! May I ask how tall are you? I picked 145 as my goal because that is the lowest high school weight I remember being at and looking pretty good but wouldn't mind going lower. My surgeon didn't even give me goal she just asked what I thought. So I guess we shall see...Congrats on your success you look fantastic!
Last spring I was trying on a bracelet and the saleswoman said, "You have tiny wrists" Ha... I have never been called tiny anything in my life.
