I came this morning, didnt see the thread, then forgot to come back! Oh the HORROR!!
Yesterday was a BAD eating day for me!!! ggrrrrr The 2 year old was up ALL NIGHT on Sunday, no idea why. But yesterday I was just exhausted, and I tend to make really horrible food decisions when tired. Calories weren't wicked bad, but carbs.....holy hell. Ugh Today is a new day, and I am much better rested.
9 months since surgery

question for you. I am trying to make my protein shakes at home and ditch the RTD(budget cuts HA) I have Quest. And when I make it with 3/4 c of fair life it is more like pudding than a shake.
How do yours turn out?
I use 3/4c Fairlife skim milk with 1 scoop of Syntrax powder and they are like chocolate milk. NOT thick at all! So maybe it is the Quest? I have never used their powders before.
If I add my Miralax to it, it makes it SUPER thick....which I try not to do because it is just weird to me! LOL
finally back home and settled back in. missed posting on here so much. I try to not eat out still, if I do i usually end up eating way more carbs then I like to.

Miserable cold with ridiculous wind here in Illinois. Sounds like we are in Siberia here! No walk at the park for Lily and I again so I will do 3 miles on the treadmill at 4.3 MPH pace and 30 minutes on the bike. Weight is 121.6 today and on track with vitamins and fluids. My go to when we go out to eat is steak or fish. I either share with hubby or ask for a box when I get my food so I can immediately put the leftovers away. It is too easy to overeat if the food is all there and I am talking. I have found that it bothers me to eat at buffets or places where serving sizes are gigantic. It makes me nauseated to watch people guzzle food down. Maybe I have gone a bit crazy! Here's the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added (couldn't eat it all) L 1/2 c mushroom soup and 31/2 Oz deli turkey with cheese D 31/2 oz pulled pork with 1/2 c broccoli S Greek yogurt. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Thanks, Deanna for starting the post. This thread has become like therapy for me and I need it today. I got on the scale today and my weight continues to go up, even though my eating since the beginning of the year has been clean. I'm at a loss and honestly don't know what to do. I called my therapist on the way to work and hope to get an appt. soon. I'll also call my NUT and see if I can get in to see her. In the meantime, I'm going to drop my calories back down under 1000 (which I know will cause problems with my blood counts, but I CANNOT have the scale go ANY HIGHER. Today's menu isn't going to help, since it's going to be carb heavy. I usually have a protein heavy breakfast but I got home super late last night and didn't want to make my ground turkey. It's a heavy workout day, so I thought my overnight oats would be ok. I just got out of court, I'm hungry, but I'm dreading eating the oats. This gain is going to mess with my head, I know it . . . ugh. Why does this struggle have to be so difficult?!!???
Here's my plan (although totally subject to change since my mood is so crappy. The one thing I need to do is make sure I actually eat)
B: Overnight oats
L: Grilled chicken and mixed veggies (My lunch was supposed to be AV's buffalo chicken, but I forgot my yogurt which was going to be my pre-workout snack, so Angry chicken is being bumped to snack time and I'll run out and get a chicken bowl)
D: Chicken thigh with snap peas
S: SF Vanilla latte; Angry chicken and edamame
TOTALS: Cal: 883; Protein: 103g; Fat: 27g; Carbs: 54g (overnight oats. ugh)
Have a great day, everyone!
