What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning and Happy Friday! My weekend looks pretty quiet. I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow and think I may take my mom to see Joy. Other than that, I've got no plans (which is nice). I like the what are you wearing sub question and LOVE that AV is keeping the black/khaki theme alive! Although I think its time for color, AV (says the girl who is wearing skinny jeans, black boots and an oatmeal colored top. Not a drop of color in sight!!). Here's my plan, although dinner is a mystery since it will depend on whether I take mom out tonight or tomorrow.
B: Ground turkey (3oz) spinach and cheese (1 oz)
L: Hamburger patty with grilled onions and a slice of cheese
D: Chicken Thigh and salad (unless we go out)
S: Light and Fit and Peanut Butter (I'm cutting out my lattes for a few days . . . I desperately need to see some downward scale movement)
Totals (subject to change) Cal: 835; Protein: 89g; Fat: 40g (ugh, cheese); Carbs: 19g
Have a GREAT weekend, everyone!
It's past lunch time and I'm just now sitting at my desk. Today is our annual clear out the old files day, which usually means a day of destroying old files that are stored in our warehouse. This year, new legislation that is likely to be passed changes our record retention from 3 years from date of payment to 3 years from liquidation of entry. This means that most likely, we will need to keep some of these files for at least 4 to 5 years, if not longer. The only thing that is keeping us from drowning in paperwork is that a lot of our files have moved to an imaging system. It's not 100% moved over yet, so we aren't able to ditch it all just yet, but hopefully someday soon. But who knows if I'll even be here by then. I'm really looking forward to a job change in the near future. My boss is my BEC today, uuuggghh.
Food, I think I found a compromise with my evening snacking issue. I went to Kroger last night on the way home from Therapy and while I was shopping, picked up some mini bags of popcorn that have 110 calories for the whole bag. It will at least keep my choices healthier than popping a whole large bag and then guessing on whether or not I ate 1/3 or 1/2, etc.
Also, my scale finally moved today after stalling for 5 days, lol. I'm so close to 100lbs lost I can taste it. It tastes better than any food, ever. I'm hoping that my weekend and be great and I'll hit that before I talk at you guys again.
here's my plan for the day (I've already eaten half of it)
B: 1/2 Premier Protein 80, coffee with cream 70
L: Chili with 1/2 oz shredded cheese 202
D: beef with peppers and onions and BBQ sauce 237
S: Light and Fit Greek Cherry 80 1oz Chicken Jerky 80
totals:
Cal 749 Protein 78 Carb 45 Fat 28
Have a great weekend! I would love to post a pic, but I have a hard time with selfies and I'm not about to ask my coworkers to take a pic of me, lol.
I'll have you know I bought all the fixins' to make your wonton egg cups yesterday and was all excited, only to come home to an oven that wouldn't light. grumblegrumble It's been touch and go for a while, but I guess we finally need to break down buy a new igniter for the stupid thing.
It is Purple Friday here in Minnesota and the snow is flying! Winter has finally arrived. I might go line dancing tonight for the first time in over 10 or 15 years. A year ago, I never would have even thought about going out with an old co-worker to take lessons and dance the night away. Saturday we are helping at and attending a Celebration of Life service for some friends who lost their daughter in a motorcycle accident in December. Just a week shy of her 24th birthday. It makes me so thankful for my kids and family. This Sunday is all about the Vikings and their victory over the Seahawks.
My menu is kind of up in the air after my lunch fiasco. I am trying to skip snacks today as I have had a couple of "big pouch" days this week and over did it. No bad food items, just a bit too much when I chose to have snacks.
B - 2 oz deli meat, .5oz cream cheese, 1/2 small banana
L - I was supposed to have mini turkey meatballs, but they were leftover from New Year's eve and were so gross, I couldn't even manage half of one. I ended up having some spinach and artichoke dip, a little bit of mashed sweet potatoes, and string cheese. Not a good lunch at all. I am already regretting it even as I type this.
D - No idea, but it will be so low carb, that it might just be air. :)
Have a great weekend everyone!!

I missed posting this morning (and yesterday and the day before) because the giant work project I was complaining about last week finally launched. Today's pics are what I wore for the events this week. It's been a week of grabbing food on the go, so my tracking hasn't been great but I think I managed to make decent choices for the most part. I will get back on track this weekend, and go grocery shopping so I can pack lunches again.
