Struggling with filling the mature pouch
Thank you for this post! I have been feeling the same way. I've contemplated asking my surgeon to check my pouch. It seems that I'm hungry all the time.
I appreciate all the advice.

I agree Debbie, it's so helpful to get all of these awesome ideas. It's such a difference in the way to manage the pouch between now and when I was new at it. I'm making a dense lower carb and super healthy meal tonight for dinner and am really excited to try and incorporate some of these ideas. I don't feel as rudderless as I did before.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a pouch that seems to change throughout the day. At both breakfast and lunch I can go by how full I feel, and I'll be fine. But at dinner, I have to make sure I measure out what I eat and stop afterwards. I could eat more if I let myself.

150 lost and maintaining!
I had rny 11-26-13. I have little pouch days and bigger pouch days but for me, I could eat carbs and never feel full. I get them from certain veggies, no crackers, etc. Crackers and bread are what I call my foodie crack and I just know that I shouldn't have them, sighs. I gave up protein shakes for the most part, I feel hungry soon after if that is my meal. I reviewed my food logs and found I was taking in more calories on the days I was drinking protein shakes. Eggs are sketchy at best for me so I don't have them often. I do eat steak, chicken, kidney beans, legumes. Salads, I have every day and alot of veggies, fresh or frozen. I avoid corn though, petunia pouch doesn't like it.... I also enjoy yogurt some mornings or cheese. I have not tried any protein bars yet. I am scared of awakening the carb monster in me . That isn't a slippery slope for me it is a snowball that would roll so fast it would take out anyone in its path, lol. (Sorry, just a little humor). Please feel free to pm me if I can be of support.

Thank you all! I have been doing so much better and I feel back on track. That horrible bloated feeling is going away from weight gain. I think I'll be back on track with slow weight loss. Eating a large meal in the evening worked wonders and I went to sleep still feeling full, but not sick. I tested myself and I ate 4.5 ounces of chicken breast to feel full after having a small Greek salad I made at home and 1/2 cup brussels sprouts. I think my pouch is a larger one. But I'm also using WW points to make sure I don't go over what I should per day. My work offers a big discount on WW and seeing calories gets my head started so points help keep me saner. During the day I needed just coffee and green tea in the AM and then a medium lunch. I also have no problem downing a 24 glass of water. I have to stop at 1/3 of the glass, wait a minute and then do another 1/3, then after a minute I can do the 3rd.
