What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I tried them, the choc chip cookie dough and the brownie were my favorite. Made it for a WLS event....

I just wanted to tell you all that I love your posts and accountability. I have been reading your posts daily and hope to do so for myself. I am getting so many ideas from you all and am proud of your success!! I had my surgery in October.
Thanks for all your postings!!
I have no clue how to put a clicker thing at the bottom..... LOL
Yay! I love this thread and all the support we give each other. Jump in any time!!
As for the ticker, I think if you click on the little mountain range looking thing at the top right corner, it gives you an option log your weight and manage tickers. I'm pretty sure you create one there, too.
It's just something I've adapted from Anny's original recipe over the last year or so. I love it, obvs. LOL
9-ish oz. chicken breast. I usually poach and shred my own, but the Purdue shortcuts and canned work, too.
2 oz. crumbled bleu cheese (by the deli)
1/2 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch. If I don't have this I use garlic powder/dill/onion powder
small (5.3 oz) container plain Greek yogurt
chopped onion and celery, S&P to taste
As many glugs of Frank's Red Hot as you want
This works out to about five 4oz. servings at 132 calories and 20 grams of protein per.
Good morning. Today may be a better day! The sun is shining (somewhat), I can see the snow on the mountains from my office window and I have my cup of coffee from Starbucks. My calorie count was low yesterday (particularly since I'm still under my 1200 cal mandate) and I was rewarded with a .5 lb GAIN. I'm not going to freak out over it, but I really need to lose my December gain and get back to normal. My eating has been clean, I'm back at the gym and training for a 1/2 marathon and still no downward movement. Ok, rant over, time for me to carry on!
Here's my plan:
B: Turkey (3.5 oz) spinach and cheese (1 oz)
L: Homemade mushroom barley soup with beef shortrib meat (I'm almost 2 years post surg, and haven't had soup for a meal since my full liquid stage. For those of you who eat soup, how do you do it? Do you eat the liquid first and then the meat? I fished the meat out of the soup when I packed it and have both separate so I could easily do it. If I don't feel comfortable with my solution, I may have to run out for something for lunch. It just sounded so good because it's cold here. Any suggestions are appreciated!)
D: Ground beef burger with grilled onions and a slice of cheese and asian slaw
S: Skinny vanilla latte; Light and Fit and PB2
Totals: Cal: 1,105 PRotein: 102g; Fat: 51g; carbs: 57g
Have a great Thursday everyone!
I just had soup last night as a matter of fact :) It had chicken and veggies and shirataki no-carb noodles in it. I slurped up the broth, and then ate the noodles and chicken. It was very comforting.
I also don't drink for at least 30 minutes after meals, ever, but I figure if I have a few glugs of broth after eating the soup solids on the rare occasions that I eat soup, that won't be the reason for my regain (carbs, sweets, over on calories will be the reason!). Just my two cents :)
Good afternoon,
Hope all of you are having a good day.
Time since surgery 21 months
B: crock pot pork chop
L: Beef with mushrooms (chinese carry out, not sure it will work, have premier just in case)
D: Steak with sauteed mushroom
S: HB egg, peanuts
