What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning... Glad you are over the hump AV. I on the other hand have not been happy with my food choices everything makes me feel - meh- and I can't seem to stop eating the same thing. Made some healthy 'treats' but then can't seem to regulate the consumption to not everyday or twice a day. The mind is not cured. They have good stats but it just mentally grates on me, my lack of control sometimes. Don't know if it's the hernia too or the constipation... again -meh....
Tomorrow is my consultaion with Dr. Capella. I have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to get there. It was a toss up between getting stuck in traffic on the way there or on the way home. I chose the early version. One of the downsides of living on Long Island, unless you take the boat to Connecticut, you have to go through NYC to get off this island. So over the hill and through the dale and 2 bridges and the Bronx I go... LOL.
B: tea, whole grain cream of wheat with added protein powder
S: Protein drink (undecided on flavor)
L: Chili
S: Homemade protein bar
D: Pot Roast with mashed cauliflower (made it yesterday but never ate it)
S: ?
E: 21 day fix - Pilates day done. Yesterday I also did 45 minutes on my rebounder at night. Think I am going to do that again, as I won't get to do my morning routine on Friday.

THE MIND IS NOT CURED! I needed to read your post this morning! It feels good to know that I am not alone. "Healthy" things like trail mix, granola and nuts are the worst for me. I did take the last two pieces of the carrot cake I made in the freezer so I didn't have the excuse that I needed to eat it before it went bad. I have the mantra from my support group posted in a few places but I think I need it tattooed somewhere (FOCUS,COMPLIANCE AND SUPPORT).
Today, I make Angry Chicken Salad!! Well, the lazy persons version because I bought everything prechopped from the salad bar. But hey, it counts!
I wish I could excited for the weekend but it is just more of busy. Boo
Quest protein powder with 3/4 fairlife milk
Lite & fit Vanilla yogurt
2 slices of turkey bacon w/1 tbs of peanut butter( I grew up on pb & bacon sandwiches...LOVE)
Wendys grilled chicken breast and 3 tbsp of cilantro avocado dressing
cheddar cheese stick
CAL: 695 Protein: 85 Carbs: 24 Fat 28
Soooo, an entire Quest bar in one sitting was a little ambitious for me. I know better, but I was feeling so awesome that I was like "I'm invincible today!". My pouch was like, "Nope. I've told you a hundred times about that fake sugar. You're going to pay for it." Well, one thing I've learned is that post RNY, I can poop anywhere. LMAO
Still, POWER & CONFIDENCE!
Because they ARE scary. Plenty of post-ops have no problems, but I'm not one of them. LOL
I can't figure it out, sometimes I have problems and sometimes I don't. Sometimes protein bars that don't say they have sugar alcohols make me sick..... The ones I stick to are Kind(some have a little more protein) and Power Crunch.
