What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
We've reached the downhill portion of our week, people. I can see the light and it. is. glorious. I'm feeling much better today, thanks for asking. You know what? I think I was hungry. LOL I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. I have an eating schedule and for the most part, I stick with it. Yesterday, I ate when I was hungry, and didn't much pay attention to protein/carbs/whatever. I had lunch at 11:30 instead of 1:30. I had a handful of cashews for an afternoon snack. I had *gasp* Triscuit thins and Laughing Cow when I got home. And...wait for it...I had Ramen for dinner. I logged all that **** and no, it's not pretty. LOL But guess what? I feel pretty great and somehow re-energized to move forward. Maybe I just needed to get whatever that funk was out of my system. I don't know; just a theory. But I am feeling all bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning, so I got that goin' for me.
Time since surgery: Almost 18 months
B: coffee, white chocolate raspberry Quest bar
S: Click mocha!
L: Buffalo chicken salad, celery sticks and a string cheese
D: Flounder piccata and steamed Brussels sprouts
TOTALS: Calories: 777 Protein: 96 Carbs: 53 Fat: 26
This proposed menu is about half the calories I ended up with yesterday. LOL Still, it's a little low so there's probably another snack to be added in there somewhere...
Ya! I'm glad you're feeling better today! I, on the other hand, AM NOT. It's day 2 post BodyPump for the first time in far too long and, damn, am I feeling it. I am SO sore. I am CURSING the instructor (though obviously it is me I should be cursing). These are the day I want Advil soooooooo bad. So. Bad.
The one bright spot is that my fella came over last night for dinner. I was planning to have sad crockpot chicken alone, but decided to invite him for a school night date so I ran out and grabbed sweet potatoes to add as a side and it was a delicious dinner. It also reminded me, for the millionth time, that when I focus on the dense protein I get full so fast and, no, my pouch isn't broken - just my choices!

I am LOL'ing at your turkey meatball breakdown. I may or may not have done something similar when I couldn't find my black bean burgers...
Hahaha! WHY do store insist upon moving stuff around?!
And it was extra frustrating because TJ's always has a staff meeting like RIGHT at 8am when they first open so there wasn't even someone to ask.

I had some clearance chocolate truffles that I "finished up" last night. That added 240 calories to my daily totals, but at least they're gone.
Every day is a new one, that's what I'm telling myself.
