What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Good morning.  AV, I completely agree with you.  This week is dragging, our weather sucks, we had an earthquake this morning, the line at the drive thru Starbucks was  down the street (see prior weather sucking comment) and I'm completely over the food I've been eating.  Can I just fast forward to the weekend and start over on Monday?  Oh, and even though my eating has been completely clean since new years and my exercise is back on track, I haven't lost AN OUNCE.  Grrrr.

Here's my amazingly uninspired menu:

B: ground turkey, spinach and cheese (there's something "off" with my cheese.  It's brand new but it won't melt.  It's like a stringy congealed mess that makes me queasy so I tried to eat around it.  Breakfast was not the most satisfying and I'm sure it will make me hungry the rest of the day)

L: leftover turkey meatloaf and broccoli slaw (which is entirely too close to what I had for breakfast, but since the weather is so bad, I'm likely stuck with it.

D: New York strip and sauteed snap peas

S: Somersaults, Light and Fit and a ham and cheese roll up (one slice of shaved ham and one slice of ultra thin provalone)

Totals: Cal 976; PRotein: 83g (low for me); Fat: 47g; Carbs: 48g

It's usually not too bad.  First, between my house and work there are SIX stand alone Starbucks stores and one in a grocery store I pass every day.  It's usually not a problem and I try to use mobile order so I just have to get out of my car and walk in.  But it's pouring rain here and cold and I just couldn't bring myself to get out of my car and you can't do mobile order at the drive thru . . . so it looks like Starbucks withdrawals for me today!

Stacy,

I feel your pain. A day without starbucks is like a day without sunshine.

This one is for you AV:  I went to Kohl's for Vanity Fair bras that have more material on the back--for my "gills" (hanging skin).  When I walked in they had the clearance racks.  I thought I'd look for some summer wear for my trip to Florida. (non of the resale shops have summer wear out yet).  I found some SIZE 3 black shorts that snug close to the leg down to the knee==AND THEY FIT.  I also got a cute t-top in a size small in a flower print.  I had to ask the salesperson what type of bra to wear.  I have never wore this type of FUN, FUN summer clothes.  I have them draped in the kitchen.  I can not believe I can fit (major squished). I can't believe I have something so cute.  I will have to have someone take my picture.  I weigh 148, I am 5'4, Hips 37", Waist 32"-without the boobs, Bust: none.  I wear size 4-6 pants or size 27 waist.  I am not losiing weight, but inches.  What I have can be squished into whatever size container I want.

B: protein shake

L: 1/2 california sushi roll

D: Chicken stir-fry

S: celery w/chicken salad.

Exercise & shopping - 0

Lynn,

Great to hear you had so many NSV's at Kohls. I'm going to have to go there. Clean eating too. You are an inspiration to me.

Hi everyone.  I am back at work today after being held hostage in my home for two days because of ice and snow.  Still super cold, but stuff melted enough for me to get out of my neighborhood.  What are the things that have excited me lately?  I have a couple:

  1.  Reaching goal.  Yay!
  2. I'm wearing a pair of white, size 8 slacks today.
  3. A coworker said, "Hi skinny" to me as I was exiting the restroom this morning (can't hear that often enough).
  4. All of my Christmas stuff is down and put away.
  5. I have new linens for my bed (I am a linen *****).
  6. I am going to Hawaii in March! Double yay!

It is the little, and not so little, stuff everyday that makes me happy and excited.
