What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
OMG... I could go on and on about what annoys me. I have one tattle tale deluxe! And the fact of the matter is that she tells fake tales! But, I am trying to be positive as it took everything I had to come to work today.
B- orange, and 1/4 c peanuts (I am not big on breakfast but working on it) I felt I did good as someone brought donuts in and that annoyed me!! But I did not cave!
L- cabbage salad, tuna, and avocado
D- I am going to try and make the buffalo chicken salad ...people are always talking about it and it sounds delish!!
S- cheese stick and greek yogurt
I am 8+ years out. I have been trying to lose weight that I have put back on. I was concentrating on calories, however, now my focus is protein. I am going to get my eggs boiled so I can do better in the AM.
I used to be into shakes but lately they hold no appeal to me. I go through phases of this as well.
I am wanting to exercise and will be tonight! I have a recumbent bicycle and I like to do free u tube "walk away the pounds" as I have arthritis and it is low impact.
Everyone take care and have a GREAT day!
So yesterday I did really well and felt like I had achieved exactly what I wanted, getting back to basics. However, I woke up this morning, hungry. Go figure! Trying to stay busy, because I know this is head hunger. And, the weather in CA decided to be crappy today and dump a ton of rain on us, so no walking at UC Irvine for me. :(
Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs with salsa.
Snack: .1/4 C of Fruit (Raspberries and Blackberries)
Lunch: Tequila Lime Pork Tenderloin and Cauliflower and Carrots.
Snack: Greek Yogurt.
Dinner: Zoodles with Turkey Meatballs/Sauce.
Happy Tuesday!
Nik
Oh! Eggs with salsa sounds so delicious to me right now! I never really think to do that at home, but I will have to soon.

Good morning from rainy and cold Southern California. The promised El Nino storms have arrived which is fine, because we definitely need the rain. Hmmmm, work annoyances. I switched jobs in July of last year and its been pretty good so far. I actually (after 10 years of being an attorney) went to work at my uncle's firm and my aunt is the office manager. It's a bit dicey, because I don't want to be treated differently from the other attorneys, but everyone in the office knows we're family and sometimes I think I get the side eye because of it. It can be uncomfortable. But, I just put my head down and get to work. IN general the thing that drives me up a wall is the people who complain how busy they are, but in actuality GET NOTHING DONE!!!!
My plan for the day is up in the air. I feel it's going to be one of those days where nothing sits well. As you all know, I'm an interloper on your board, since I'm a sleever. I'm having horrible Acid Reflux/GERD and I haven't been able to determine what foods are triggers. I'm working with my surgeon and NUT to come up with a food plan that is less likely to trigger acid, but so far, it's a crap shoot. Also, we keep switching up my PPI ****tail to see if we can hit on something that gives me good relief. The whole thing is making me apprehensive of food in general, so absolutely nothing is interesting me. Anyway, here's what I have planned, subject to change based on my acid levels.
B: Turkey, spinach and cheese (for some reason this didn't come out right this morning. The cheese wouldn't melt and was sitting in a glob on the bottom of my tupperware. Totally not appetizing, so I did not finish)
L: Leftover chicken and veggies
D: Chicken Piccata and italian chopped salad
S: Skinny vanilla latte, Somersaults, light and fit and PB2
TOTALS: Cal 970; Protein: 101g; Fat: 36g; Carbs: 60g
I didn't know you are a sleever. My friend had the sleeve last March and had trouble from the very beginning. After 6 months of trying to figure it or, her surgeon finally said that her stomach was flipping on itself whenever she ate. They revised to RNY on August and it fixed.
Come to the dark side, we don't actually have cookies, damnit.
Yep, I've infiltrated your boards!!! No need for a revision, I'm super, super happy with my surgery and my 130 lb weight loss. According to my surgeon and the radiologist who did my barium swallow last month (or was it November???), my sleeve is perfect and I have great restriction. I've just been dealing with a small acid issue. The other problem I had with my blood work would have occurred no matter what surgery I had. Anyway, I'll stick with what I've got and as long as you all don't mind a sleever posting on your boards, I'll stick around!
tequilla lime pork tenderloins - gotta try, yum
eggs with salsa - gotta try
This is why I post my menu late at night for people lurking to get some ideas for food. I get in a rut, and don't look for recipes, but do hear something on this board and gotta have it. :)
