What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Ahahahaha - I am a librarian, so you would think that it would be quiet around here, but I'm in the same boat - LOUD people have been driving me nuts! I have an office, but my business manager/the library busybody sits right outside my door and is CONSTANTLY gossiping and chatting. She keeps threatening to retire because in the renovations she ends up being in a space by herself and she's SO MAD.

Maybe invest in some noise-cancelling headphones? Can you wear headphones at your job?

All the sudden it has become the freaking arctic here in PA and I'm DYING! Even with this being my second winter post-op I'm STILL not used to be so damned cold ALL THE TIME.

Time since surgery: 22 months

B: surprise skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks, overnight oats made with L&F greek yogurt, almond milk, PB2, and some unflavored protein powder

S: apple slices and a laughing cow wedge, deli ham

L: hardboiled eggs and cottage cheese

S: KIND bar

D: had planned on chicken from the crockpot but when I plugged in my new crockpot and turned it on it had a funky smell, which I'm sure is just "new" and will go away, but I got nervous about leaving it on all day because I am a crazy person - so I'll have to come up with something else - I think a flatout pizza might be in order

S: popcorn and Chobani tube

TOTALS: Calories 1234, Protein 97, Carbs 114, Fat 48

V/W: started

E: BodyPump night

As per usual, my carbs are higher than I would like. I need to remember how to do all this - how quickly one forgets when you're paying attention AT ALL.

PS. AV, I want to like pork rinds, but I just don't so far. What brand do you get?

Honestly, I get them at Dollar Tree; Turkey Creek or something.  LOL  Some of the other brands have a very strong smell but these don't.  They're more a vehicle to get my salad in my mouth.  There's also a brand called Mac's that I find at WalMart and they have fun flavors like salt and vinegar and those are good just plain.

Adjusting to the cold has been very difficult for me, this is my first post-op winter. I get painfully cold in a matter of seconds outside. Hopefully it improves over time...

I definitely think you get a little more used to it AND I learned to dress more appropriately last year. Like I was still in "fat girl" mode last year and would barely put on a sweater or whatever and then I'd be DYING - I had to retrain my mind when dressing LOL.

Yes!! I never wore a coat, maybe a zip-up sweatshirt if it was prticularly chilly. But boy do I regret it when I don't take my coat now!

I am obsessed with cuddli-duds. I discovered them last winter, my first post-op. The new size is being broken out today with our "feels like 4 degree" weather. They are very thin microfiber and you wear them under your pants. They are not like the old fashioned long underwear. They make such a difference. They have tops too, but I don't use them...usually have enough layers on top. Pants aren't that warm though. Highly recommend.

I have bought them at Marshalls, Kohls, Walmart. They have fleecewear too, but you want the 'climatesmart' - thin ones.

I never judge caffeine consumption.  I get pretty pissed if I don't get my two cups a day.
