Buyers remorse if fairly common early out. You have all the negatives of having major surgery and no benefits yet.
A year from now, after your weight loss is apparent to everyone and the compliments are piling on, your regrets should hopefully be a bad memory.
In the meantime take it easy, gets lots of rest and keep telling yourself "This too shall pass".

That sounds miserable. I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope your doctor is investigating all reasons why this is happening. Are you taking Pepcid? I had to switch to Protonix because I felt that I was burping too much, but not like you :-( Protonix is doing the trick for me. I'd encourage you to try your PCP if your surgeon isn't helping to solve this mystery.

i completely understand your desperation, frustration and questioning your decision, but it honestly, truly, does get better. i did got through feeling utterly wretched the first week, then things improved. I had another rough go at exactly the one month mark where i was unable to go to the bathroom for nearly two weeks, so couldn't eat or drink as I felt ghastly, but it really has gotten unimaginably better. I am now 3 months post surgery and i am starting to feel normal. Walking and movement really do help pass gas, but I understand its challenging when you are feeling weak and unwell but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
I went through periods of burping and belching constantly, I wouldn't say 24/7 but a lot. They did pass. Hopefully the Doc will have some suggestions or adjustments in meds. Take it slowly, eat and drink slowly... chew well. Do everything you are supposed to so when you get to the Doc you will know for sure it is not any of those things causing it.
I kept having some pain on and off, but not constant... they kept telling me I was eating too fast. Finally found out I have a hernia. Still no regrets.

Mint tea helps me, also Chamomile or raspberry tea.
Mint and chamomile tea has always helped me, too!!
